  • The Welsh say...."Your song is good. Can we have some more?" :)

  • pff

  • My favorite anthem :)

    greetings from Finland

  • The best anthem ever , TIOCFAIDH AR LA

  • proud 2 be irish

  • thumbs up if yu hate england

  • pog mo hon Sasana!!!!!!

  • Erin Go Bragh is the phonetic spelling of Eirinn Go Brach, so neither is wrong. But whatever.... 'Ireland Forever' ...

  • Erin go Bragh is an anglicisation of the Irish phrase Éirinn go Brách ya feckin amadán its not phonetical ya eejit hahahaha so you are obviously a american plastic paddy who knows fuck all about Gaeilge.

  • why do so many people confuse the word ENGLAND with the word BRITAIN? If an outsider called we Irish "English" or even "British", we'd correct them. Yet so many of us don't even know where Hollyhead isssss. Check the atlas! And one of RTE's newsreaders says Milford Haven is in England. Really? And a woman reporter in The Evening Herald thinks the Archbishop of Canterbury is ENGLISH!!

Do they not know the geography of The Anglo Celt ISLES? Are they THICK?

  • Always get goosebumps round 1:06. Fucking love it!!

  • @ScabbyHole99 take it down for the wrong title? It's the Irish national being sung at a national game in the national stadium. Get your facts right.

  • Lyrics Amhrán na bhFiann The Soldiers' Song Sinne Fianna Fáil, atá faoi gheall ag Éirinn, Buíon dár slua thar toinn do ráinig chughainn, Faoi mhóid bheith saor Seantír ár sinsear feasta, Ní fhágfar faoin tíorán ná faoin tráill. Anocht a théam sa bhearna baoil, Le gean ar Ghaeil, chun báis nó saoil, Le gunna scréach faoi lámhach na bpiléar, Seo libh canaig amhrán na bhfiann
  • @ScabbyHole99 Is there something wrong with you, I would think that we Irish people would know if Amhrán na bhFiann was being sung in German and not our native tongue Gaelige. Trust us, we know those kind of things. BTW Irish doesn't sound anything like German or English. Bíodh an lá go deas.

  • @ScabbyHole99 its not in german its in what many ca Irish or Gaelic language

  • has any 1 told the fans that they are allowed to sing?

  • I proubly bleed green

  • why is the anthem in german and not english?

  • @ScabbyHole99

    Its irish.... Gaeilge... not english...

  • @Lusitani74 "Irish" is just English with an Irish accent. I don't know what anthem this is, but it's not from Ireland. The poster should change the title.

  • @ScabbyHole99 i didnt think people could be so stupid. you proved me wrong

  • @ScabbyHole99 you my friend are a retard if you think irish is english with an irish language and yes retard it is the irish anthem we should know we're from ireland do your research before yu go thinkin yur smart

  • stand on the hill in your dublin jersey an listen to this live.........fucking amazing!!!!

  • @ROBBIE51123 hahahahahah you should buy a cork jersey bai and go to the hurling all ireland for a real match only messin with ya mate but totally agree with u hill 16 is a irish historical landmark one of my fave places in the country

  • The Irish people and nation has a very beautiful anthem ^^

  • @HaMick93 Why are you so angry because I gave an opinion. You lose all arguments once you resort to cursing etc..... And tell me do, what was so wrong in my suggesting he learn Irish to be able to sing the Anthem in Irish as I do.

    Eirinn go Brach.......

  • @bettygirlsboy you spelled Erin Go Bragh wrong mate nice one

  • @ironmunky666 No, you did!!!

  • @ironmunky666 Erin Go Bragh is the phonetic way of spelling Eirinn Go Bragh, so neither is wrong. But whatever , 'Ireland forever'...

  • Caithfidh mé a rá againn an Ghaeilge a bheith ar cheann de Amhrán mura bhfuil an chuid is fearr sa domhan. agus tá páirc Chrócaigh mo áit ansa leat a bheith sa domhan I love na daoine agus an stair leis na páirce.

  • We are true

  • being Dutch: we are all together...

  • The one thing I regret is I had to listen to the version in bastard English to understand this beautiful song. My ancestors were invaded by Romans so long ago we no more speak or understand the Celtic language which befits us. Even so, while hearing the Gaelic version my heart was aflame. GOD BLESS OUR IRISH BROTHERS FOREVER AND EVER.

  • @Juangokustar The original was written in english and sung in english during the easter rising

  • @TomBarry192I It was written in English in 1907 and sung as Gaeilge in 1916

  • @95Redsman The first Irish translation of the song appeared in April 1923 translated by Liam Ó Rinn

  • it took a while to find a good one. and now i feel grand' relaxed when i here my anthem. peace

  • what dicks disliked this video!

  • Hearing this brings a smile to my face, awesome rendition.

  • Our anthem being sung at our national games, no better feeling, makes me proud to be irish!!

  • LONG LIFE FOR IRISH PEOPLE...BROTHERHOOD FROM ALGERIA

  • tbh........theres no better feeling than standing on hill 16....with your fellow county men, and belting the national anthem..........i live for it on match days........just the noise of 85,000 irish men women and children singing such a song, makes me proud..Monaghan abu!

  • i hear this tune i get shivers down my spine , i'm irish and love everything that is. do you realise the man that owns jacobs put hundreds of irish men and women on the dole, just so he could have more profit by sorcing once irish made biscuits to england , shame on you i say, how can an irish man take the food from irish mouths and justify by it saying its good business, he's a traitor to everything that our flag represents. remember jacobs 1916, there are many will never forget, but he did.

  • Respect from Morocco

  • Respect from Moscow.

  • i honestly try not to be biased about this anthem because im irish, and i do like a lot of other countrys anthems, but i cant think of any more passionate, powerful and awe-inspiring a song than this one. and the colossal cheer when that last line arrives gives me chills every time. maybe thats just me though.

  • @Tkillasunrise It isnt im irish aswell and i I think dis is the most inspirational national anthem

  • An Dún Abú

  • i was in de hogan stand 4 dat match unreal go tyrone

  • Tir Eoghain Abu... Agus Eire

  • Irelands rocks!! so proud to be irish

    gorahma ma agut

  • this brings tears to m y eyes

  • Ye ho my beloved Tyrone!! LOL!

  • @titanicpiano14 r u serious? >:{

  • Such a beautiful anthem. Makes you just love Ireland

  • @howzatstew Hey thats nice comin from you!

  • no doubt out anthem is the best!

  • oh that is beautiful :')

such passion and gusto always aroused after "na bpilear"

  • always sung with such passion our anthem is and always be the best

  • I love that opening , my favorite anthem

  • @MinisterKGB Its my favorite anthem 2! Not just 4 obvious reason being that Im irish! There is just somethin so liberating bout it! Its like da world is full of hardships and wrong doings! But when we get together in a place just like croker and sing our anthem, we all seem to merge as one! I guess you could say that for all anthems, but theres jst something special about ours! Perhaps its the history and the reason/meaning behind the words! I no i cant put n2 words da pride i feel singn it!

  • @ExplorerBrock Its because it is a soldiers song ireland fought harder and longer for it than anyone else thats why its special! Erin go bragh!

  • @MinisterKGB Yea you can say that again! So much blood and tears have been washed into our streams and rivers and for such a small wee island! My father and grandfather taught me that our liberation and our countries liberation is priceless!

  • i really loved that match! was brilliant! only wished i was on the hill! love our anthem : )

  • that was da best match ever if it was the one im thinking (Tyrone v Dublin)

  • U will NEVER EVER beat de Irish!!!!!!!!:)

  • @ThePrincessofHope

The best part is that's it's our culture, our manner, and our humour they can't compete with! I'm london Irish, what other culture is gonna make you always know your irish?? We're proud people and always will be.xx

  • @ThePrincessofHope never beat the irish ;)

  • The most beautiful Anthem ever written.

  • Words are televised for synchronization....and those who can't remember all the words !!nice anthem this.

  • beautiful

this texan witnessed this very thing at croke during the kerry meath semi's

  • Hahaha Hymn muszą im wyświetlać na telebimie żałosne my znamy swój hymn a te matołki nie lol

  • I was there!!

  • clareman thats the way people do it at a match the crowd go mad thats wat they do like

  • I wish we sang our anthem like the Scots. Some people need to learn the words, others need to stop making noise before its over and others need to stop whispering it as though they are ashamed. We should take a bit more pride in our great anthem.

  • this was a great match, i was there and the atmosphere was amazing, proud to be irish

  • Unlike most anthems, this anthem brings a tear to your eye and shows everything the country is. No frowns. Glad to be Irish.

  • If You have never experienced Amhrann Na Bhfiann at Croke park please make the effort. Your grandparents paid a heavy price. AND REMEMBER THEM.

  • Goo On Tyrone :)

  • @aoife135 Im with ye doll! lol! Sam 2010 is coming home!

  • Sinne Fianna Fáil Atá fé gheall ag Éirinn, buion dár slua Thar toinn do ráinig chugainn, Fé mhóid bheith saor. Sean tír ár sinsear feasta Ní fhágfar fé'n tiorán ná fé'n tráill Anocht a théam sa bhearna bhaoil, Le gean ar Ghaeil chun báis nó saoil Le gunni scréach fé lámhach na bpiléar Seo libh canaídh Amhrán na bhFiann.
  • I'm so jealous of you guys! You still live in Ireland :( I have to listen to the English anthem... This anthem is so much better and doesn't praise royalty or anything.. God dammit, I LOVE YOU IRELAND!

  • i am latvian irish but born and reared in ireland and proud to be irish and speak irish fluently

  • Amhrán na bhFiann

  • no it doesnt happen everywhere, in rugby and soccer the entire anthem is sang before fans break off shouting and whatever, its only at gaa matches that the supporters cut the anthem off before it has been finished. and as far as ive seen every other country observes the entire lenght of their anthems........ shame really because its sang best at the gaa matches

  • i was there, Tir Eoghain Abu!

  • i hate the way the teams from the republic which give northerners stick for not bein irish always drown out the ending to Amhran na bhFiann. that never happens in the ulster championship. we sing till the end. its a sign of respect to the nation of ireland and those people of the so called republic (the true irishmen) always disrespect as seen by the bublin fans in this video.

  • Jennifer, normally nothing beats the anthem at Lansdowne Road when Ireland play England at rugby but when they played the international at Croke Park (scene of the first Bloody Sunday in 1920) two years ago you could feel the tears welling up in 40,000 Irish and it took the heart out of the English team and they lost badly, sad because they had nothing to do with or be ashamed of, it was their ancestors.

  • Hail Hail

  • Nothing better than a full Croker!! The atmosphere is beyond anything

  • such passion... Proud of my Irish blood...

  • Dublin v Tyrone, full Croker and Amhrán na bhFiann, makes the hairs stand on the back of my neck!!

  • come to ireland if ye want to know about it and its a tradition at matches to do dat before the ending #1

  • this is real passion, croker full house, passionate fans and gaelic football, ya cant beat it!!!!!

  • IRELAND TILL I DIE

  • `is that a soldiers song??

  • ya but in irish

  • Sinne fianna fáil atá faoi geal ag eirinn lol

  • That cheering before the end is disrespectful to the anthem, i wish people would wait till the very end :-(

Great anthem tho and the words are legend

  • It happens everywhere. Even here in the States, they start cheering before the anthem ends.

  • It is respectful to wait until the anthem has finished, not drown out the end of it with a series of whistles screams yells and airhorns, its the same lack of respect that sees people taking their national flag and de-facing it with slogans, thats all i meant, sorry if i upset you

  • its like a tradition its gone for ev4 . . . . . . . .honest

  • was at the match

  • go irealnd

  • gives me goose pimples...know every word of it

  • Soldiers are we whose lives are pledged to Ireland; Some have come from a land beyond the wave. Sworn to be free, No more our ancient sire land Shall shelter the despot or the slave. tonight we man the gap of danger In Erin's cause, come woe or weal 'Mid cannons' roar and rifles peal, We'll chant a soldier's song. thats it in english for the girl hu wanted it Im irish and proud xD
