  • Determine kindness to all

  • How can someone not likesuch a beautiful Mantra. The voice ,the love in her trangresses her

vocal chords.I have listened to many of her songs ,they are all filled with Metta and Karuna.

I rarely use such words, but I beleive this woman has reached enlightenment ,and has become a Bodhicitta.

    A simple buddhist called

    Loong

  • This is beautiful. As an aspiring vocalist, I would like to sing with the depth and control that she has.And the nuances are like WOW.

  • So beautiful. I heard about Ani-la through an NPR interview with her about a year ago.

  • I always love this song

  • Love and Light...

  • I hope that the 4 people that do not like this wonderful mantra someday find their hapiness.

  • She sings with her soul and heart.

  • so nice

  • que voz tan dulce! me senti muy emocionada!

  • Metta - Compassion should be extended to all of the animal kingdom as well, not JUST to humans, animals suffer greatly due to the cruelty inflicted on them by humans, billions of animals are tortured and killed DAILY because humans cannot control their senses and cravings for tastety food !

  • @bliss6120 Try to consider reincarnation and a law of karma. Taoism says:" Life is a temporary presence in the world. Death is a temporary absence from the world." We all are born countless times and die countless times. This Circle stops, when we awake, when we enlighten ourselves, through Zen, Mahamudra or Dzog-Chen realisation. These three are very similar, but there is different approach towards practice. Buddhahood is the same for all three. It gives you freedom from suffering & reincarn.

  • @bliss6120 Relationships between humans and animals are karmic bonds. Today I torture an animal but tomorrow the animal gets ocassion to torture me. Karma has tendency to grow or getting less severe with time. It can hurt badly or reward you by good health, peace of mind or even bliss. Karma is ilusoric energy, and our happiness & suffering are illusions sustained by this illusoric energy. So it is impermanent and can change and it will. Those who torture animals, will be tortured in the future.

  • BUDDHISM IS THE GREATEST FORCE FOR GOODNESS THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN. THE SUPREME BUDDHAS AMITABHA, SHAKAMUNI AND BHAISAJYA ARE THERE TO INSPIRE US AS WE TRY TO BECOME ENLIGHTENED. I LOVE HER VOICE AND HER DEVOTION. KRISHNA IS ENJOYING THE SONG OF DEVOTION TO LORD BUDDHA WHO KRISHNA LOVED AND ENDORSED WITH ALL OF HIS HEART.

  • Oh the judging that is voiced when such a delightful being is sharing their Most delightful Faith with Humanity. I was from organized Religion for over 60 Yrs. When I began my NEW PATH I was told I would take; LISTENING + JUDGING Were two constructs we of this belief were the greatest at. Most challenging I had to laugh; THE most important pieces of our Puzzle in this Game of life; hidden in each of these Lovly Faiths. I can hear OUR GOD/DESS (YEA we even forgot the divine feminine too)<3 To U

  • Sul Bo was an enlightened woman in Korea. She led a free and happy life. One day her granddaughter of five, died. At the funeral Sul Bo was loudly sobbing and crying, pourring tears from her eyes. Everybody was surprised. Why are you crying, Sul Bo, you are enlightened Buddha so you know there is neither birth nor death in emptiness Mind ? She said: " When my granddaughter will hear my crying, she will enter Nirvana. That's why I am crying. Do you people understand?" Nobody understood. Aigo..!

  • @dtseringdorje i don't understand :(

  • @Aleksei5055 I don't understand either.

  • @dtseringdorje then what the message?

  • @Aleksei5055 A message is: when I was going by a bus earlier, there was a heavy downpour. There is sunshine now and kids are playing in a park.

  • @dtseringdorje :/ ok still confused and not sure how that is relevant to the story but ok cool!

  • @Aleksei5055 A story is just a story. Today is Tuesday is the truth. If you want to understand that today is Tuesday,go to a Zen monk and ask him about the meaning.

  • @dtseringdorje well the original story ends with the question, "do you understand" so naturally I assumed there was some kind of meaning and not just a story... and every story has a meaning anyway with a message ... so that is where the question came from.

  • @Aleksei5055 Yes. In Buddhism there are teachings about two states of existance: samsara ( state of suffering of beings, who walk in darkness of ignorance about our true nature ) and nirvana ( a state of mindful awareness concerning realisation of our true Self, our true identity). Sul Bo was realised human being, awakened to reality of what already is around her, around me, around you. So, look around you and tell me what are you seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, toutching and thinking about.

  • @dtseringdorje ok thanks, that is what I was inquiring about...

  • @Aleksei5055 If you have a magic bullet mixer, make yourself a milkshake and enjoy a drink. That's all.

  • @dtseringdorje :/ ok thank you for your insight... its been fun and entertaining talking to you. :)

  • @Aleksei5055 Amen.

  • @WolfgangAVI

like some other person here said being a buddhist shudnt be a matter of pride. its way of life not something u have achieved rather u wanna achieve. peace be with u brother. om mani peme hum

  • @baburambhattarai Bring me peace and I will give you 10$ Can.

  • @dtseringdorje

mitra peace aint something others bring to you or give to u. if it was such a commodity then i wudda been very rich. and secondly if u a buddhist, dont try a give everything a monetary value. mitra le bujnu bhayo hola bhanne malai laagcha.

  • @baburambhattarai Sounds good. Consider yourself fired out of your samsaric misery, then.

  • If you are a Buddhist, be proud and honor your faith, if you are any religion, be happy and full of unconditional love for all life. But always think for yourself, let no other think for you. For thoughts are things and a belief is just a thought you keep thinking. Its always THIS and THAT. You cannot get it wrong or done, these are the tools we use to co create with God.........

  • @wildersara Buddha nature, God nature, Your nature, are they the same or different?

  • @LiberalPonder baloney, pride can be joyful excitement. JUDGMENT pinches you off from who you really are. And who you really are has already reached Nirvana. Be happy and proud of yourself always, that is the state of grace that is effective and where alignment occurs.

  • @wildersara That 'joyful excitement' can lead you to do many things. (i.e. Honor killing) It ultimately stems from self-importance and arrogance. Buddha didn't teach us to be proud. He told us to deny every aspect of our ego, which is the cause of our suffering. You cannot be proud and compassionate at the same time. It's like mixing water and oil. Happiness only occurs when there is an absence of ego. Don’t confuse positive emotion with happiness. They’re totally different in nature.

  • @LiberalPonder I joyfully disagree - joyful excitement does not lead to "honor killing" for pete's sake, it is a repression of true joy and excitement that leads to the pinching off of self and a lack of integrity. One can honor all our god given aspects and BALANCE all of them. One need to deny nothing, as a matter of fact, one must embrace and integrate all aspects to be whole - I am very happy to h ave an ego and a soul, and a higher mind. They are help me balance and co create with god!

  • @wildersara Show to yourself, an ego, a soul, a higher mind and god. Where do you find these things when you separate words from things? For a while try to see things without calling them any names, words or thoughts. What do you see, then?

  • @dtseringdorje only separation is criticism and negativity, joy and excitement and love are positive, therefor integrated. An integrated being is full of unconditional love for all. Seeing is believing! For a while, try to realize its always this AND that!

  • @wildersara I asked you an easy question: When you separate names from objects, what do you see? For example: separate word "sky" from actual object of cognition which you call sky. A word "An Earth" from our planet Earth. Separate word "man" from an object a man, separate a word "woman" from an object a woman.See things around yourself and contemplate all of them, without using words to name them. Only then you will start to see clearly. You said Buddhism. But what do you see, hear, taste etc.

  • @wildersara

Pride is a trap of ego.

  • @ravenoptima1 pride is a God given joy of self, not a betterness of anyone else. There are no traps or meaning in life that you do not impart yourself.

  • @wildersara Don't decieve yourself, lady. Nirvana is still mind, silent extinsion of thinking. You have to let go of ego-self and then you will recover from fever of good & bad karmas. To be proud means to be proud of something, like carring a tatoo or medals on a chest on 4 th. of July. Sure you love your country, your friends, your family. Sometimes you must kill your pride to get something else. Maybe eternal joy and peace. 100 % of health. Consider immortality of yourself as awaken buddha.

  • @dtseringdorje you only deceive yourself. I oppose deception, therefor I do no such thing. I am proud to be a woman, a native american, a human being, and mother, and every other way I serve others, yes indeed, I am excited to be alive and proud of it. This has nothing to do with ego - it has to do with being a blended being.

  • @wildersara That's the point! You have so much pride and happiness so soon you can drawn in it, I'm afraid. Don't worry, I will throw you a safety wheel with a rope. If you know how to swim just jump into a water. If you don't, just stay on dry ground. Maybe this makes you angry but this anger, where does it come from? All you need is to find out where is universe? Where does this universe come from? This is your homework. Try it.

  • This is the best version ever for me of this great mantra

    xx

  • This mantra touch my heart deeply.Ani chanted with all of her being,to me she was in meditative state,so powerful. This mantra creates compassion in my heart.I have compassion for Tibetans,Chinese and all sentient beings all over the earth.

May all beings treat each other with love and compassion. The world is big enough, there are more than enough of resources water and food for all of us if we know how to share and don't waste them. With Metta.

  • @supawanich00 this touched me too... and i think if she wouldn't have been singing it I might not have felt how powerful this mantra really is... she is very talented singer and she was excellent in delivering the message of this mantra

  • ininity peacefull

  • thank you. I learned the words phonetically to this mantra the other day because I do not know sanskrit, but wanted to learn the mantra. i used to think i had to learn sanskrit in order to feel the meaning behind the words in the mantra. this rendition transcends language barriers and shows that compassion is a universal language.

  • @rh6rd You want to know the meaning of Chenrezig Mantra. That's good. A short meaning is: " I vow to save all sentient berings from sufferings and enlighten them so they can leave suffering of samsara for ever." There is a story. There was a famous monk in Tibet who was very compassionate and respected by people, although he was little learned of the scriptures. Once jealouse Lamas wanted to humilate yogi and invited him to monastery offering to him big throne. Next they asced him what he knows.

  • @rh6rd They asked him what he knows from this and that sutra, this and that sastra, this and that holy teachings, or from other important scriptures. Because he knew nothing from those texts, learned, but jealouse Lamas thought he will make fool of himself. But that yogi, each time he was asked a difficult question, said only: " There is written, I will save you from sufferings of samsara, I will save you from sufferings, I will save you." All those lamas bowed to him in shame, humilated at end
