Interesting thing that happened while making the movie, Bruce broke down many times. The hydraulics in Bruce were corroded and broken down the saltwater so times that the writers jokingly considered re-naming the movie "Flaws.:

While an air tank won't explode if you shoot, it was still more climatic then killing Jaws with the gun or the gaff.
