When you DO hunt, you can do it with one, quick, clean shot, as opposed to running a frightened animal for hours, and have the dogs keep at it. The dogs make it pretty exciting, cause dogs GET pretty excited, but some guys who hunt a lot say all that adrenaline pumped into the hog isn't ideal anyway. I also know how hard it is to take a wild hog any other way, I hear that all the time. It takes a painstaking hunt to do it the hardway
