At 2:55 in the video the person sitting next to Ravel at the piano is Vaslav Nijinsky, the legendary ballet dancer whose career ended just a short time later, due to mental health problems. It must have been taken sometime between 1909 and 1914, when the Ballet Russe made annual tours to Paris.
