this is awsome, and if you want more like this, but not soft machine per say then just search fred barley, and check out all his stuff in brazil, including working with our god deavid allen!!, this guy is becoming very fast one of the all time best drummers in psychadelic jazz!, or full stop. i only found this guy and his work tonight on you tube, and i ain't been so mind blown and exited about music for years , thought i had lost it, cheers fred .
That is VERY impressive. If I this recording was only sound, I would believe it was SM themselves, just would would think: "What happened to the Hammond?"
wow EXCELLENT! this is like a modern guitar fusion version of this old classic. Love the soloing over the changes. Right on the money on the chords too. Your guitar player reminds me of 70's fusion great Eef Albers in style and sound playing a strat like he did too (kind of rare in fusion).
That was very very good!!!!!! I wont compare this to the original. Do you have this in whole? the bassist by the way did a FANTASTIC job!! It is very hard to ge the feeling of Hugh on the jazz bass but you did it!

Nice tribute, but (sorry) still no match for the original.

I agree with you, this is just a tribute we did for our heroes. They rule!

But it's a great version and i think is very hard without keyboards!
Nice work

@MrPlanx no match? do you think they were trying to "match" them? they were paying their respects to a great band, and they did a fantastic job.

Very cool! Always wanted to know what early SM sounded like if they had a guitar player...but where's the rest of it?
