Nevanovna - The incident you mention relates to Nottinghamshire Police dogs.

All our dog unit vans have air conditioning for the dogs' comfort, health and safety. Even when the doors are locked, the vehicle's air conditioning remains active.

The unit's vehicles will soon be marked up with 'This vehicle is fitted with air conditioning for animal welfare.'

We take the safety of our police dogs very seriously. All handlers are trained to ensure their dogs are cared for to a high standard.

that was a very stupid mistake and the officers were fired but i can esure u the police treat the dogs very well
