Peace is definitely a tranquil state. Apathy is closer to a "can't be bothered" state where nothing particularly matters - kind of like the standard depiction of teenagers, where their response is "whatever" and means "I couldn't care less - I'm not at all interested".
yes, that does make alot of sense. im a teenager, very apathetic in many things, but i also suffer from depression. i hope to look into this and maybe get out of my depressed state.
it is all about being present. Any method which works for you. Become more aware of your story in your head. To have depression, you need to have a big imagination and believe in your story. Also become more aware of your body feelings

Maybe also apathy is disconnection and absence and peace is connection, you are fully present
