@LOTRlover100 A selkie is a seal creature that can take off its seal skin, like a coat, and transform into a human. In order to turn back into a selkie, it has to have its seal coat to put back on. Thus, many legends regarding these creatures tell of female selkies coming ashore and sailors hiding their coats so they're forced to stay on land and become their wives/the mothers of their children. But once the selkie finds her coat, she leaves her land family to return to the ocean.
I think she came to the PA Ren Faire ONCE years ago. This is the song I've been searching out for the last 10 years or so. I'm so glad I never stopped looking.
This song tells us that love needs fighting and it's not free. It is about us if we deserve it... Heather Dale has so beautiful voice and her songs are just great!
its not quite a band, Heather Dale does most of her own music but sometimes asks men and women who she knows to accompany and record with her. she's great :)
