@MrUsedBooks thank you. i am playing a devlin guitar. it is chinese made. like a les paul. i bought it on ebay for $279. it has the stock pickups which sound pretty good. i play through a marshall jcm2000 dsl 401 combo amp. it has 40 watts, all tube and only reverb for effects. i like the gain in about the middle and volume about middle, with treble about 3/4, middle full on, bass full on, and the tone on the guitar rolled off about half way just until it darkens up a bit. bridge p.u.
@redsoxjazzfan OMG! i am honored! i am humbled! i can't believe this! thank you so much, and yes, great jazz is timeless! you are kissing the sky! you are an inspiration.
Hey Adam! YOU & that GOLDTOP ... what a great looking and sounding couple! I think that you have changed something in your recording-technic ... super fat Bass&Drums, organ and a well placed Lead-Guitar in that Stereo-spectrum in my head-phones ... fresh, fruity, Jazz-Funk with some Latin touch and perfect timing!! LOVE IT! Cheers from Austria!
@notpopebuthope thanks again. this is risky. i recorded it on my boss digital at the same time as videoing it on my little canon. it's me on a peavey bass, built in drum machine track, me on the same guitar with a lot of flanging and reverb so it sounds like an organ. and then the lead through my marshall recorded with a microphone. but i got some loud hum somewhwere through the mic??? then i mixed it, panned it, and mastered it. then put them both into imovie and synched up the sound.
Nice tone. What are you using?
