Not quite sure if you ever walk down memory lane with songlist that i've passed on to you but I sometimes wish that you knew how easy it can be. I must respect your choice but I will always love you, that is not replaceable.
Yeeeah...you suck dude. just because you have a problem with how you think this sounds doesn't give you the right to be an out-right PRICK about it and insult the rest of us. do us all a favor and take a flying jump.
Anyone who can find one thing to enjoy about this mess should have their heads examined. If the artist was listed as Joe Schmoe would you still think it was worth a listen? I think not!! I rest my case.
@johnnyaa You have no heart. This music isn't beautiful because of the vocals. Dennis' voice was HORRIBLE at this point and anyone who is a true Dennis Wilson fan will tell you that. This music is beautiful because he put his entire body and soul into this album. This album is the only true telling of his story. If you don't like it, fine. But to leave such a disrespectful comment on a song that was written by a man sinking into a depression and, ultimately, death, makes you the pitiful fool.
@RazrHack Bottom line is that I have a problem with people who worship an artist to the extent at which the which the artist can do no wrong. If Wilson had released an LP of complete silence there would undoubtedly be fans heralding it as an "innovative masterpiece". By making the choice to embrace drugs and alcohol one might very well suffer from depression but I'm not interested in hearing about it in rambling gravelly-voiced songs. No disrespect intended, just a "pitiful fool" opinion.
I just love the strings at the end of this song...that quietly lift this song to heaven...and Dennis got lots of use of the word love in this song, what an amazing song...
@AnneHardingBondiJct Who cares whether or not Dennis Wilson would have noticed if "64bbfan" had passed prior to him or not? No, he wouldn't have said the same thing, because Dennis wouldn't have even known that "64bbfan" had ever been alive. Your comment is unnecessary - made in response to someone simply paying tribute to a musician - and a man - who he deeply respects.
Thanks for sharing your views on the unreality of fame and fortune and highlighting the poor status of your fellow artist, who is trying to cash in, on that death.
The Wilson's had the gene that just could not process vices, such as alchol or illicit drugs. They were to fragile. I don't know if that had to do with how their fathers brought them up. I don't think people realize how fragile we all really are and how thin the line is between sane and insane is. There is a tragic warmth to this d. It is my Sunday morning cd. He never should have gone out like that man. never
Love the photos of Dennis aboard Harmony, it seems it was the final place where he felt at home, and he does look so at home and at peace in any photo I have seen of him aboard her. It was a promise of getting her back though that finally killed him. RIP Dennis, fair winds and calm seas forever my friend.
I did not read this because I had the monitor on screen saver...... gave me a smile for a song which pulls your heart to the ground with Dennis' honest beauty.

I will never forget the loss I felt in his death. I was blind to the fact that he would die someday.

Dear Fabian,
You might have died prior to his dying; would he have said the same thing then, about your good self?
Cheers

Denny was just so passionate and caring. And he put all his pain into his music. Some of the most poignant songs ever written.
