  • THATS AWESOME 8x8 now put a 1500 gallon water tank with deck gun and hoses and all the rest .... and youd have one awesome piece of wildland accuipment ..????

  • how much would one of them cost?

  • "Dessert" lol?!

  • This is some serious power.

  • Now that's a truck!

  • lol u think barbies hummer can pull that? fuckn pile of junk too bad they didnt get a full shot of the load though.,...

  • lol u think barbies hummer can pull that? fuckn pile of junk

  • Its an 8x8 Mercedes Actros/Titan prime mover. The load its pulling is probably over 300 tons, upward of 500 or possibly more. So yes its a big load.

This truck is all about traction, all wheel drive along with heavy axles and big tires to hold ballast. The ballast is usually big heavy blocks of steel or concrete to keep the trucks wheels planted firmly on the ground.

Expensive rig. Similar trucks sold for such use in the US would go for at least half a million USD if not closer to a million.

  • Why not show more so we can see what they are hauling?

  • was that a oil tanker

  • got the job done

  • it looks like it's hauling a ROCKET SHIP! :D

  • NOW THATS WHATS YOU CALL ALL WHEEL DRIVE...

  • @marcusbriscoe86 ......8 wheel drive.

  • First i thought, like what the fuck, this truck spins its wheels even without a load, but when i saw the load, then i thought dear god.

  • bigggg ass power

  • wat trekt hij

  • Yep its Dutch. Holland the biggest small country!

  • wheels are slipping.

  • I bet its overpriced though.

  • Its built by Mammoet of course its overpriced. theres a reason you rarely see mammoet equipment here in the states. and it aint because its Dutch made.

  • @pumpkinheadedsob The truck is not Dutch made. Its German, Mercedes to be exact. Mammoet just happens to be a Dutch company. The Dutch truck brand is DAF and they are owned by PACCAR who also happens to own Peterbilt and Kenworth.

  • @lordtaw OK its Benz, Its still overpriced and still crappy. Dont go and quote me sales numbers of mercedes trucks, numbers sold dont equal quality. We have 4 mercedes powered trucks at work and they are total crap, two of them have locked up with less than a million miles, and the other two eat nearly a gallon of oil a day. The rest of our fleet is either CAT or Cummins powered and they have no problems, 2 of them have nearly 2 million miles and need less than a quart of oil per week.

  • @pumpkinheadedsob thats not call crap...its call cheap boss and poor maintenance,,,,,

  • @URJUSTAH4T3R no cheap boss involved, work for a large national company and they all get maintained to thier factory service schedule. its poor quality pure and simple.

  • @pumpkinheadedsob look, this is how it goes: all MB trucks are going through a test. The trucks that pass stay in europe, the trucks that fail go to the US ;)

  • @pumpkinheadedsob

you have mercedes trucks with engine om460 (mbe4000) which are made in brasil or in turkey which is not same as germany

i have 24year old mercedes ( dump truck) with still never opened engine

and soon it will be used next 2years 24/7 for heavy job lot of dust ..hills..... off road 110 000lbs+ on 4axle

and possibly that it will need small overhaul

  • @scania98989 You do know that it shouldnt matter where an engine was made, If Mercedes is putting its name on it, and implying that it holds to the quality and reliability standards asscosciated with their name the quality should be the same no matter where it was made. Cummins makes engines in several countries around the world, and they hold the same quality standards no matter where they are built. So I dont really care where it was made, if it has the name it should have the quality preiod.

  • @pumpkinheadedsob

just look at cars for US market they are far more different than for EU some cars , there is lot of differences for example on E class mercedes there is as much i remember 500differences but european model is much more expensive

so same could be with engines

i know that there is lot of un-happy owners of volvo engines in US here volvo are maybe best engines on market

but i know one case on vt880 d16 625 now 2250 000km and without any problems except egr valve

  • cool, but too short.

  • What a beast.

  • yes sir !!

  • This truck is used by Mammoet and that's a Dutch company. So, this movie comes all the way from Holland. Yeah!

  • That was quite exciting!!

  • is mercedes actros titan

  • damn

  • IS THAT A MERCEDES?

  • yeah!

  • yes

  • It is a Mercedes Actros

  • Yes a Mercedes actros 8 x8 modified by Titan.

  • in the dessert? in a vanilla-chocolate pudding?

    or in the desert?

  • what?

  • Now that's what ya call a truck

  • 100 gallons per/mile

  • god imagine the strain on the hitch.

  • you ment to say Bitch

  • amazing how the coupling hitch thing holds without snapping lol

  • That truck is amazing. I want one.

  • Wanna split? :)

  • Actros? thats nice!!

  • I wonder how many gallens per mile it has?

  • *gallons

  • thats a strong clutch

  • Mercedes power

  • i doubt, did you notice tires spinning? you would not have enough traction in hummer to pull that. this thing looks like it weights 10 tonnes, and has 8 wheels, hummer is too small. lol

  • A european standard 4-axle truck would be built for 32 tonnes total weight. I bet this has some extra weight to get better traction. You can see the block at the rear, I'm pretty sure it's not just a 2mm plate carrying the web adress...

  • 32 tons is the limit according to road traffic regulations. A 4-axle can easily move 50 tons and more, as long as the hydraulics has enough power to drop te load off. I've watched 3-axle Mercedes dump trucks building airport runways. They carried 15 cubicmeters of concrete. 1 cubicmeter concrete = 2,3 tons ;)

Special-purpose vehicles like autocranes and the one above usually have a permitted typical axle ratio of 10tons/each, so this truck should have 40 tons

  • The average 5-axle tractor-trailer on US highways can legally weigh 40 tons(80,000lbs). The KW W900L I drive could pull that load.

  • @NIGHTMAREuki that thing actually weighs 44 tonnes (metric)

  • @NIGHTMAREuki

The weight is more like 60 tonnes or more

Each axel on the tractor is rated for a minimum of 12 tonnes (if my memory serves me correct) and the trailer has 14 tonnes per axel or wheel assembly.

  • @j01515 we'll there you go, thing is impressive

  • your hummer will snap all four axels and/or U joints even with a modest load

  • @denise7823 hummer?

    maybe...... no

  • Comment removed

  • @denise7823 i doubt it would, you would split a hummer in half with that load, you need power and strength not something a hummer is blessed with for this type of job

  • @denise7823 Ya I bet you have the H2 which is nothing more than a Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 2500, all you did was pay thousands more for them to put a Hummer body on it instead of the pickup cab and bed. The only real Hummer is the H1 and that couldn't come close to moving that even an inch. If you can tow that with your Hummer then you should start trucking with it then. Get a DOT # and away you go.

  • boring!

  • get a tatra :P lol...joke... great vids

  • show what its pulling dumbshit

  • pretty sweet if u had that i would drive to work in it pissing offf the other drivers!

  • MAN TGA has just the same build of mercedes they look nearlt the same

  • Two words....WOW!

  • how much torque would that thing have?

  • Mammoet FTW!! wow that one even has drive with all thw wheels!

  • trucker2712

ill say youre rigth, looks like af MB actros

  • Basic vehicle is a MB Actros yes and it's boasted in power ect. by Titan :D

  • This one looks like a Mercedes Benz Aktros.

    Not a MAN TGA

  • Who manufactures these tractors?

  • the same truck now is in lithuania they will pull about 550tons... the bridges will be fixet because is to much presure :D I will go to see thgen thay will be neaR US :d

  • Pedazo de tractora, que pasada.Que preciosidad, que pena que no dure mas rato y se vean mas partes del camion.

  • Get 'er done!

  • Cool

  • too short film , when it has some over one minute , then it will be exciting

  • Imagine the axles in that thing...god must be tough! I wonder if they would fit in the ranger?haha.

  • that shits got some torque

  • Wow nice truck!!

  • Just get a tractor.

  • tractor wont cut it

  • Made in Germany by Mercedes Benz

  • Man that is one poweful truck

  • i that big big track

  • hmmm we transport this big cargo in Qatar and weight is 1350 tons, we used two trucks One is behind for pushing it ;) u dont worry nah ;)

  • Is this somewhere in the area of Ras Laffan? We used to ship some machinery there.

  • hmm yeah its in Ras laffan!

  • but the ballast will just help the wheels dig into the sand!

  • How heavy was the load it was pulling and where was it taken?

  • Wow, it is slipping. Why not more weight at ballast for more pressure on the wheels?

  • The block on the back of the truck is solid steel and the truck is ballasted to its max weight. This is about 12,000kg per axle. The tires are 24R21 Michelin XS and carry 7,000kg per tire!
