I like Sam...Greg was not around when my son started watching the Wiggles. I really liked their show when it played o n Disney. I have watched older shows and did not like their format. With change comes improvement.
Improvement? Disney refused for 2 years to air new shows/they finally did & group was off the air in 5 months. U.S. tours shortened/smaller venues/empty seats at many shows. Highest paid Aussie stars since 2003/no longer true. BTW most of their money comes from sale of back catalog - Greg's work. Merchandise virtually unavailable. New message board nearly empty/they were blasted for creating pay website. Parents magazine & Anthony recently said they know group is not as popular as it once was.

Well all i have to say is they have to move on, Greg got sick Sam kept them going, the next generation will be Sam fans, it'll be babies who will enjoy sam because they wont know greg.. I think they will all eventually get replaced... but just because Greg isnt there doesnt mean the parents should stop their KIDS from watching

I love Sam-I was not watching when Greg was on. It is what it is-Greg got sick and had to find a replacement. I am glad Sam was there when they needed someone. I hope Greg is better now but I do not want to see him take Sam off.

Exactly what I say. It's about freedom of speech. It's wrong to make sarcastic remarks like grow up or get over it & to call people freaks or idiots because they like Greg & miss him. I think Greg was the heart of the Wiggles & I will always prefer him. He's still a BIG part of the group - in their songs, dvds & t.v.shows. Sales of Greg's work makes up the bulk of the group's income. Greg & the others received honorary doctorates last week & Greg has performed his first solo sold out show.

Greg is "The Man." I admire, respect and appreciate Greg's accomplishments and achievements - the way that he was dedicated to The Wiggles, and to educating and entertaining children. That said....... Prawnlet is correct. We can like whoever we want. Some people seem to think that Greg's fans have no right to express a preference for him. It is everyone's right to have an opinion, and to be able to express that opinion without being attacked with sarcasm, rudeness and obscenities.

Sam began his classical vocal training at the age of 14 after his voice had matured. Those lessons helped him get into the theatre business which lead to him star in many musicals, which eventually lead to his Wiggles career. His classical voice is stunning, and since taking on the lead role of The Wiggles, his voice has learned a very wide range. I have alot of faith in him and am positive his solo album will be simply amazing!

When Greg was a 16 year old fan of Anthony's rock group The Cockroaches, Anthony would pull him on stage because he loved his voice. He's called Greg's voice unique, beautiful & sadly missed. Greg has led them to 5 ARIAS (Oz grammy) 17 gold, 12 platinum, 3 double platinum & 10 multi platinum records. Greg - superb singer & the beloved Yellow Wiggle who sings from his heart.
I know. I just put that to see how many people would give me a thumbs down. We're at 21 right now. I find it funny how adult fans of The Wiggles hate Sam.
Greg does have a good voice, but, to compare his voice with Sam's is not a debate of truth or false, but, of opinion. I personally find Sam's voice more appealing, but, thats just me. Some people prefer Greg, and thats fine. There is no denying that he has a good voice, but, some people just prefer different genres.

The original Wiggle for 16 years was Greg Page. He co-founded the group, and was the lead singer after it was agreed upon that he had the best voice in the group. Sam Moran, the "new" yellow Wiggle, began working with The Wiggles in the late 1990's, and for the last few years of Greg's career was his understudy. The role of the yellow Wiggle went to Sam in Nov. 2006 when Greg was diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance.
It's worth is estimated at close to two million dollars, and Greg donated the use of the collection to start a museum so that all Australian would get to see the memorabilia. It said it would be selfish to own it and just hide it away, and that he wanted to share it with everyone.

The same thing could be said of me and my son. My son is only six-years-old, so, he has pretty much grown up watching Sam. Greg was still with The Wiggles when he was born. I took him to a few concerts, and he would watch their TV series and DVD's, but, never showed alot of interest. But, he absolutely loves the new DVD's, and he seems to enjoy the live shows more too.
Greg is one of the songwriters on this song, which was written before he had to retire. It was intended that Greg, who had filmed two of the three planned Wiggle and Learn DVDS by the summer of 2006, would sing it. Greg is THE Yellow Wiggle, and his magical voice and personality were the heart of The Wiggles.
There are also some other songs featured in YMMFLD which Greg was the co-writer of. Such as "Follow the Leader," and "We're All Friends," which first appeared on the 1992 album "Here Comes a Song."
The 1992 "We're All Friends" is similar to the later song, but they are different. There is a hard cover book called "Wiggle And Learn - We're All Friends" which includes a CD of a story narrated by Dorothy, and the new version of "We're All Friends" as sung by Greg. so I am reading responses and the this yellow guy Sam is NOT the original guy? My son is 17 months old so the Wiggles are new to me-this bunch of 4 are the ones I know and honestly Sam is my favorite of the 4..... My family (kids 5 and 2) just started listening to the Wiggles in the last 6 months or so, and have CDs and DVDs with Greg and Sam on them. We really have no preference for the singers, we think both are great. It's always hard to accept a substitute when you love someone, but let's not be down on Sam. I thoroughly enjoyed him in "Sing a Song of Wiggles". The next generation of Wiggles lovers will accept Sam as the norm and love him too. Keep up the great work Sam!

Greg has a special magic, and a voice to match. He was the heart of The Wiggles and is simply not replaceable. Greg co-founded The Wiggles at 19 & was their voice for 16 years. He was a major part of the songwriting, created characters, wrote shows, and propelled business deals. He will always be Greg Wiggle to fans new & old. He is definitely the better singer and seeing him in concert was unforgettable. He's much improved now and hopes to perform again. He is THE MAN, THE VOICE, THE LEGEND.

I own a large day care center, and I speak for the majority of the kids there. They love Greg. When a DVD with Sam was played, they quickly lost attention. They would ask for Greg, and their preference for him was obvious. Greg has a soothing voice, soft and gentle, and the kids love it. His sunny charming personality appeals to them. I think he knows how to reach kids because he has a teaching degree. They don't act, look, or sound like The wiggles any more, and it has lost them many fans.

Sam is fine; the problem is that Greg really was/is a showman, and a real superlative performer. That he found his niche in children's performing in no way detracts from his serious talent. Greg ws/is great great great. Having said that, Sam is a decent performer, a good stage presence,a decent singer, etc. Greg really was/is a charismatic star. Sam is "merely" very good. sam hasn't been there since the start. They recorded their first CD on Greg's 19TH birthday Jan.16, 1991. sam didn't show up until the end of the decade. The guys wanted Greg to be lead singer & anthony loved Greg's voice & thought it perfect for childrens songs. Greg led them to 12 gold records, 12 platinum, 3 double platinum, &10 multi platinum records. Greg's sincerity, charisma & that one of a kind voice are greatly

I like Sam...Greg was not around when my son started watching the Wiggles. I really liked their show when it played o n Disney. I have watched older shows and did not like their format. With change comes improvement.

Improvement? Disney refused for 2 years to air new shows/they finally did & group was off the air in 5 months. U.S. tours shortened/smaller venues/empty seats at many shows. Highest paid Aussie stars since 2003/no longer true. BTW most of their money comes from sale of back catalog - Greg's work. Merchandise virtually unavailable. New message board nearly empty/they were blasted for creating pay website. Parents magazine & Anthony recently said they know group is not as popular as it once was.

Well all i have to say is they have to move on, Greg got sick Sam kept them going, the next generation will be Sam fans, it'll be babies who will enjoy sam because they wont know greg.. I think they will all eventually get replaced... but just because Greg isnt there doesnt mean the parents should stop their KIDS from watching

I love Sam-I was not watching when Greg was on. It is what it is-Greg got sick and had to find a replacement. I am glad Sam was there when they needed someone. I hope Greg is better now but I do not want to see him take Sam off.

yes it is also true that most kids dont mind sam but remember its the parents that have to also watch the movies over and over with their kids and for people like me greg was a lot more bearable than sam's annoying exagrated shoulder raising giggles and thumbs up and fake smile and his try hard singing lol im sorry i dont like sam either. nevertheless i dont write death threats to him and cuss at him etc and i dont think ive really seen any

it is true everyone has their own opinion obviously a lot of people dont like sam enough and if more people giving negative ratings on comments in favor of sam it is also their opinion. If you really wanna see nice comments about sam you have an option to show all comments and readall you want about sam. if this was the case with greg id say the same thing. But obviously more people love greg and hate sam. Sorry :(

Exactly what I say. It's about freedom of speech. It's wrong to make sarcastic remarks like grow up or get over it & to call people freaks or idiots because they like Greg & miss him. I think Greg was the heart of the Wiggles & I will always prefer him. He's still a BIG part of the group - in their songs, dvds & t.v.shows. Sales of Greg's work makes up the bulk of the group's income. Greg & the others received honorary doctorates last week & Greg has performed his first solo sold out show.

Ive watched the wiggles for years cos my kids love them and really liked greg.
Sams got his work cut out trying to be the new yellow wigggle and i think hes doing really well.
Hes a great singer and dancer and really puts the effort in so give him a fuckin break.

Greg is "The Man." I admire, respect and appreciate Greg's accomplishments and achievements - the way that he was dedicated to The Wiggles, and to educating and entertaining children. That said....... Prawnlet is correct. We can like whoever we want. Some people seem to think that Greg's fans have no right to express a preference for him. It is everyone's right to have an opinion, and to be able to express that opinion without being attacked with sarcasm, rudeness and obscenities.

i agree that greg fans have the right to express a preference. but why do sam fans not have the same right? you can go onto pretty much ANY video, even if its of sam, and find people praising greg. if you find a sam comment, you will see it with so many negative comments its hidden. (unless its dissing him) why is that? why can we not just all speak our minds freely? to simply say "sam has a good voice" is enough to warrant -10 at least.

Sam began his classical vocal training at the age of 14 after his voice had matured. Those lessons helped him get into the theatre business which lead to him star in many musicals, which eventually lead to his Wiggles career. His classical voice is stunning, and since taking on the lead role of The Wiggles, his voice has learned a very wide range. I have alot of faith in him and am positive his solo album will be simply amazing!

Greg has a better voice than sam. The warmth & charm of Greg's naturally smooth voice is perfect for The Wiggles' songs. When Greg was a 16 year old fan of Anthony's rock group The Cockroaches, Anthony would pull him on stage because he loved his voice. He's called Greg's voice unique, beautiful & sadly missed. Greg has led them to 5 ARIAS (Oz grammy) 17 gold, 12 platinum, 3 double platinum & 10 multi platinum records. Greg - superb singer & the beloved Yellow Wiggle who sings from his heart.

Greg does have a good voice, but, to compare his voice with Sam's is not a debate of truth or false, but, of opinion. I personally find Sam's voice more appealing, but, thats just me. Some people prefer Greg, and thats fine. There is no denying that he has a good voice, but, some people just prefer different genres.

The original Wiggle for 16 years was Greg Page. He co-founded the group, and was the lead singer after it was agreed upon that he had the best voice in the group. Sam Moran, the "new" yellow Wiggle, began working with The Wiggles in the late 1990's, and for the last few years of Greg's career was his understudy. The role of the yellow Wiggle went to Sam in Nov. 2006 when Greg was diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance.

It's worth is estimated at close to two million dollars, and Greg donated the use of the collection to start a museum so that all Australian would get to see the memorabilia. It said it would be selfish to own it and just hide it away, and that he wanted to share it with everyone.
They have been the highest paid entertainers in Australia since 2003 (more than Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, AC/CD) and made forty five million last year alone.

The same thing could be said of me and my son. My son is only six-years-old, so, he has pretty much grown up watching Sam. Greg was still with The Wiggles when he was born. I took him to a few concerts, and he would watch their TV series and DVD's, but, never showed alot of interest. But, he absolutely loves the new DVD's, and he seems to enjoy the live shows more too.

Greg is one of the songwriters on this song, which was written before he had to retire. It was intended that Greg, who had filmed two of the three planned Wiggle and Learn DVDS by the summer of 2006, would sing it. Greg is THE Yellow Wiggle, and his magical voice and personality were the heart of The Wiggles.

The 1992 "We're All Friends" is similar to the later song, but they are different. There is a hard cover book called "Wiggle And Learn - We're All Friends" which includes a CD of a story narrated by Dorothy, and the new version of "We're All Friends" as sung by Greg. It's wonderful to hear Greg sing a song that was planned for future work that was to have included him.

so I am reading responses and the this yellow guy Sam is NOT the original guy? My son is 17 months old so the Wiggles are new to me-this bunch of 4 are the ones I know and honestly Sam is my favorite of the 4..... If the other guy is sick I hope he gets better soon-I wouldnt mind seeing 5 of them. :-)

My family (kids 5 and 2) just started listening to the Wiggles in the last 6 months or so, and have CDs and DVDs with Greg and Sam on them. We really have no preference for the singers, we think both are great. It's always hard to accept a substitute when you love someone, but let's not be down on Sam. I thoroughly enjoyed him in "Sing a Song of Wiggles". The next generation of Wiggles lovers will accept Sam as the norm and love him too. Keep up the great work Sam!

Greg has a special magic, and a voice to match. He was the heart of The Wiggles and is simply not replaceable. Greg co-founded The Wiggles at 19 & was their voice for 16 years. He was a major part of the songwriting, created characters, wrote shows, and propelled business deals. He will always be Greg Wiggle to fans new & old. He is definitely the better singer and seeing him in concert was unforgettable. He's much improved now and hopes to perform again. He is THE MAN, THE VOICE, THE LEGEND.

I own a large day care center, and I speak for the majority of the kids there. They love Greg. When a DVD with Sam was played, they quickly lost attention. They would ask for Greg, and their preference for him was obvious. Greg has a soothing voice, soft and gentle, and the kids love it. His sunny charming personality appeals to them. I think he knows how to reach kids because he has a teaching degree. They don't act, look, or sound like The wiggles any more, and it has lost them many fans.

Sam is fine; the problem is that Greg really was/is a showman, and a real superlative performer. That he found his niche in children's performing in no way detracts from his serious talent. Greg ws/is great great great. Having said that, Sam is a decent performer, a good stage presence,a decent singer, etc. Greg really was/is a charismatic star. Sam is "merely" very good. Comparing the two makes little sense . . . mbb

I just don't think it's fair that everyone is completely hating Sam. It isn't his fault! I think he's the best wiggle. I admitt, i haven't watched many Wiggles episodes with Greg. Mainly because I can't stand him that much.
But everyone that is moaning. You've gotta face it - Greg isn't coming back, lol. So stop watching it or bear with Sam. Either way I don't care, just stop hating Sam!!!

I understand you guys have been fans of the wiggles for years but that's no reason to hate Sam Moran! He has HUGE shoes to fill and i think he's doing a great job.
I've only recently got into the wiggles (blame the baby brother) and I don't like Greg, I prefer Sam.
In my opinion, Sam is a better singer and at the end of the day would you rather have the wiggles split up than a backing dancer who's been there since the start take over?

sam hasn't been there since the start. They recorded their first CD on Greg's 19TH birthday Jan.16, 1991. sam didn't show up until the end of the decade. The guys wanted Greg to be lead singer & anthony loved Greg's voice & thought it perfect for childrens songs. Greg led them to 12 gold records, 12 platinum, 3 double platinum, &10 multi platinum records. Greg's sincerity, charisma & that one of a kind voice are greatly
missed. His health is much better & he hopes to record & perform again.
