Why wasn't the hole as wide as a 757's 124-ft.-10-in. wingspan? A crashing jet doesn't punch a cartoon-like outline of itself into a reinforced concrete building. In this case, one wing hit the ground; the other was sheared off by the force of the impact with the Pentagon's load-bearing columns. What was left of the plane flowed into the structure in a state closer to a liquid than a solid mass. If you expected the entire wing to cut into the building,it didn't happen.

It never showed up on any photos - where did you see it?

You people don't really understand what it's like for a lightly built structure (as in an airplane) to hit a heavy concrete/metal structure that doesn't have to deal with weight restrictions. The building's leaseholder, Larry Silverstein said, "We decided to pull it". Meaning controlled demolition. So, when did they plant the dynamite, after it caught fire?? Why wasn't the hole as wide as a 757's 124-ft.-10-in. wingspan? A crashing jet doesn't punch a cartoon-like outline of itself into a reinforced concrete building. In this case, one wing hit the ground; the other was sheared off by the force of the impact with the Pentagon's load-bearing columns. What was left of the plane flowed into the structure in a state closer to a liquid than a solid mass. If you expected the entire wing to cut into the building,it didn't happen.

To TheRoseThorn- There is no evidence that one wing hit the ground according to photos taken immediately after the plane hit. There is a reporter who was one of the first on the scene admitting that he couldn't see any debris. The debris photo shown ad nausem on the lawn wasn't taken till later - witnesses reported seeing officials putting debris on the lawn. Where exactly is the wing gouge you claim hit the ground? It never showed up on any photos - where did you see it?

Allyn E. Kilsheimer was the first structural engineer to arrive at the Pentagon after the crash. "It was absolutely a plane, and I'll tell you why, I saw the marks of the plane wing on the face of the building. I picked up parts of the plane with the airline markings on them. I held in my hand the tail section of the plane, and I found the black box. I held parts of uniforms from crew members in my hands, including body parts."

To TheRoseThorn - Perhaps I was a bit hasty in my comment. There was no 757 plane that hit the Pentagon. No 757 engines were ever photographed - only a small engine that Boeing has already stated is not part of the 757. Photographs would prove lots of us wrong if they existed! The question has never been that a jet aircraft didn't crash its what KIND of jet aircraft crashed. Kilsheimer's claims are contradicted by the photographs and video clips from that morning.

To continue...As for the witnesses who claim they saw a AA airliner - since when can any human being identify ensignia on and aircraft flying at 500 mph let alone identify it as a 757? As for the pilot - how does someone who never trained on an airline simulator manage to navigate a 757 through a loop around the Pentagon as if he's flying a fighter jet - then fly so low to the ground that he'd be the envy of the Air Force? Maybe in a movie or cartoon but not in real life.

Keep it simple, molten metal on surface(1300 degrees) viewed from space 3 weeks later at all 3 building sites and concrete turned into dust. If you think jet fuel, carpet and office furniture caused this then I can direct you to some basic construction standards that will help. Well,who says that the 2/3 of people are wrong,just because they believe in something that general science do not?Think about all the people who are Christian,Moslems,Hindus,Catholic or what have you.Thats a whole lot of people who believe or are convinced that there is a spiritual side of the story.The true evidence for the individual on these subjects is their own personal evidence for their own experiences.But,one should not accept anything as truth without critical thought and evaluation.
