I'm not trashing dubstep by any means, but it has brougt about a faction of listeners who expect a beginng a middle and a happy ending. I think this has a lot to do with some of the genre's signifiers being co-opted into mainstream American pop music. I love your bit about the roller coaster,.

@sovcalzombie Drop is just a term for the release of tension in a song, at least that's how I use it. This song doesn't "drop" so I couldn't really play it out at a party. It doesn't go anywhere, it just stays the same throughout.
