I don't think a new character was ever introduced as good as Kane was - months of build, a unique look that was intimidating and took advantage of his immense size/strength, a perfectly paced entry into a feud with UT, great use of a manager in Paul Bearer - and destroying EVERYONE. Plus the added effect of wrestling under the red lights. The only problem was they kept him at the upper mid card - beating on weaker stars but never dominating the big boys.
