this is so true. i have been getting micros for years. if they hurt more then 24 hours you need to head back to the salon and get them loosen. i recently got micro saturday and by sunday my head was fine. no pain.

Braids shouldn't hurt. It is possible to do them tight without all that tension.

It only took my friend 3-4 hours to do mine and i got my whole head done.

I got mines done about 2 and a half hours ago and my head still hurts plus my butt was sore when i was sitting on the floor getting them done, but they look good.

I am getting micro braids for the FIRST time in a couple of weeks. I want you to know that these tips are a great heads up for someone like me. I'm getting my micros this morning...very excited and a bit nervous at the same time. lol My hair is natural, but i have some areas that are shorter than the rest and it is "new" hair, baby soft. Just a little worried about my hair breaking/coming out from the braids. Great video. Ima def. let them know if it's too tight.

My mother used to do micros for me, and my head never hurt, she didn't make them too tight.

oh no lol..after i take these out on Feb 27th , for the whole month of March i will be deep conditioning my hair..i will be 5 months post relaxer on March 4th. Then on April 4th i will get a relaxer. I will be relaxing my hair at 6 months post =] i will give u the update when the time cmoes on fotki =]

You are better than me. I cannot do micros. I have way too much ADD...lol I find with human hair it doesn't end up being too tight, but synthetic hair.....ASPIRIN is DEF needed...lol Well, in my case Tylenol. Hahahahaha...was that your hubby...hahahahahaha

That's why I only got micros once in my entire life cuz my scalp & booty hurt til I cried (literally) and I could not stand the weeklong headache. I did like the instant facelift though... lol, but when it came to take those things out... OMG! I think I cried again (out of frustration).
