@NikaSixtyten I love that quote, it is true. I can see videos of people being hurt and not care, but when I see videos of animals being abused it makes me tear up a bit and feel extremely sad.

I had a similar experience as a kid around 9. We had a private tour and I was horrified. One of the circus people quickly guided us all out of the area when he noticed the elephants "acting up". Some trainers were whipping them. It is soo wrong to make animals do stupid tricks for our entertainment. It says a lot about our lack of intellegence.

@ fatty... I watched an undercover video of fur farm animals being skinned alive, yes skinned while fully conscious and feeling extreme pain, just so some bitch can feel beautiful and luxurious in these animal skins...

It was so brutal for these animals, that I have absolutely no respect or sympathy whatsoever for anyone who wears fur of any kind.

So yeah, whatever Gary Yourofsky said does not bother me at all.

I saw him in Florida and he presented a compelling, rational argument FOR veganism. There's absolutely nothing ethical or NECESSARY that we do to animals. It's all for the sake of money and old fashioned "tradition" and NONE of it is justified! Go Vegan!

This moron came to our university today Feb 24th, 2010. First off the professor himself is a ARA and he despite his best intentions is using the class as a way to indoctrinate the youth.

Then he brings this moron who for the most part advocates violence or eye for an eye towards people who harm animals. He stated a woman in a fur coat should be raped so viciously it should scar them forever. This seems to me as ignorance in the worst of ways. Why is he not saying anything about harley riders?
