Most likely the truck had a brake failure for quite some distance, as you can see the toll booth is at the end of a what looks to be a descending curve the best thing he should of done to prevent worst catastrophy would of been to try & flip his truck before, instead of plowing with the other cars but it can be tuff makin a quick decision. But personally i think that toll booth is at the wrong location of the highway, a bit more away from an existing curve would of been an ideal spot for it IMO.

@jmsosa92833 Usually big trucks like this have Air Brakes. When Air Brakes fail they lock up. He wouldn't skid that far if they locked up. So brake failure is out of the question.

A loaded truck, especially a double like this one, takes a lot longer to stop than a regular car. I clean these messes up all the time and have skid skid marks well over 150 feet long from them. I live in Kansas and on the Kansas turnpike near Wichita a few years back a truck driver did basically the same thing in this video and crashed into a bunch of cars waiting at the toll area and crashed into the toll booth itself.
