@dipolnet I have been to two Pc shops and they have confirmed its defiantly a RJ45 inlet. Apparently the numbers on the tags are so the maker can tell which mold made the rj45 plug. Been to Pcworld and the plugs I have do not fit a normal rj45 socket? So I bought a normal 1m long either net cable. Cut it in half and connected the strands together as a temporary till I can find one that fits. This is really strange and no one else in the world seems to have had this problem yet lol. Thanks!!

Seriuosly i have to thank you alot, ten years and i never thought about installing or trying to install a cable..but today after watching your video i just made my first cable and it works just fine...i am re-running your video with that cable ^^. Wish i could order some of your products but i live in a different country and getting things from outside is pretty confusing. Anyways thanks.
@TAkabir and where are You from? We have offices in Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Ireland and Portugal :-) Besides, You can watch all our movies in polish, english, german, czech, slovak, portugese, romanian and hungarian. Thanks for Your comment!
@dipolnet Bangladesh..some-were in Asia...most people would say its India but no we are a separate country now...we are way behind in Information Technology even tho we know that lot have changed and better things are out there..its just our government is so lame. Wish we had better Air cargo services so that we could bring in things lot faster and don't forget we still lack the proper credit card services for online transaction. Anywho your videos are really helpful for me.
you showed me how to do that in 4 min and without saying anything and my teacher in college showed how to do that in 2 days just explaing and explaing ...im very happy you uploaded this video
I stumbled across this video by accident and found it very informative, but why do you untwist the 4 wires? surely un- twisting them will result in a single wire not being able to move away from interference(such as a fluorescent light). I thought the whole point of the twist was that it allows each of the 4 wires(transmit+,transmit-,receive+,receive-) to move away from interference
There are two basic standards for 100Base-T networks: * T568B (more popular) * T568A
In the case of identical connections on both sides we get a "straight-through" cable. Applying two different standards on the sides we have "crossover" cable.
To connect a computer to a switch (hub, router) we use "straight-through" cable, but computer - computer connections usually require "crossover" cable.
@dipolnet Eeeehm, not. To connect a computer to a router, you'll need a crossover cable, to connect a switch to a router, an straigth one, just because a router is a computer which joins two or more networks. And I simply wanted to know why were you using B standard and not the A one...
Nicely done, thanks a lot

@0547paul Maybe You need an RJ-11 type plug. That plug is used for connecting the telephone line to the modem.

one thing you forgot to do is straighten-up the clip lock before you put it on the crimping tool. not doing this step makes the rj 45 lock not firm.
