Furthermore, as if I have to fend for myself after you made YOURSELF look like a moron, no, I did not buy MW3. I was simply pointing out the fact that other than a few apps, excluding youtube (which is free to use and therefore should not increase the price of xbox live) require a membership of their own, thus defeating the logic of raising the price in the first place.

4 years ago, I had all of my media downloaded via torrents, and streamed to my xbox.

even then the quality was questionable (grainy low quality videos)

I think Xbox has finally reached a place where it can deliver relevent content consistently.

the only issue I have is paying $9.99 for each one.

for instance, i'm paying monthly for Xbox, monthly for netflix $10, monthly for Hulu $10..etc.

While it is very good quality programing.. i'm not sure if its worth an extra 40/m

If you don't know what you're talking DON'T post. First; LIVE is now $60/year if you buy the live card, it's like $132 if you have a monthly subscription. Second; Obviously if I spent $60 on MW3 and $50 on elite I have a live account since Elite is only available if you have a Live account. Third; Xbox and Xbox Live get hacked all the time, they just don't openly admit it which is why you never hear about it. Personally I like the fact that PS3 tells me about it, that means they are HONEST.

We still don't have them..as in most that were promised in the video are still not available yet. for example most of the TV apps are all delayed which are not available at this time but will most likely be released in another update in the next few months. that's why i made the statement "oh please.. we didn't even get half the TV apps that were promised..."

I have the Original 20GB XBOX 360. I tried updating once and it came back with an error. so I went to sleep and tried it the next day and it worked :) Just wait it out if you still can't download it. For some reason I get the feeling the people that can download it first are the people that have been with XBOX Live longer. Then the newer people get it last.

Everyone using a wired connection from their router connected to their computer, this will fix for some of you as it has fixed the Xbox live singing in problem for me.

Steps:

1. Go onto your computer and open up run.

2. Type in the box "ipconfig /flushdns" without the " ".

I guarantee that it's not the update that's breaking Xbox LIVE right now. It's the overload of the servers not being able to handle all of the currently online users waiting for the update. Just wait it out and it will work.

i also got the update while on Netflix. I gotta say i'm pretty pleased.  its not fail proof but being able to control my entire system with Kinect now is pretty freakin sweet. pretty cool updates including Youtube. Hopefully its free or at least cheap. Xbox 1Up
