  • i never liked lockstep as a game i loved the music though

  • This is my name on Playstation Network.

  • nailed this on my first attempt having already mastered the first lockstep (which incidently is one of my favourite things in any game ever).

  • I love their headphones. :D

  • "Humpff... he's getting used to speeding up!

Let's fuck him! SLOW TEMPO LEVEL!!!"

  • I love Lockstep (and Lockstep 2) to pieces, but they make my eyes hurt, and then I still see them going back and forth whenever I close my eyes... Is that bad?

  • Am I the only one who isn't reminded of "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani?

  • @HisuroKun Nope.

  • Has anyone wondered what's the backstory of Lockstep? I mean...what's up with the Stepswitchers and who are the guys with the wigs?

  • @Groudonmaster687: I've often wondered that myself. As for me, I like to make up backstories for the characters the game doesn't say much about. For example, I like to think the Stepswitchers are an elite marching squad and the faces they make are their leader. XD

  • @AuntMinty

Actually, I've heard that the faces are of Lock, a famous composer.

  • @XGluon: Oh. Well, like I said, I was just making it up.

I've done it with other characters too. Just ask me about anyone, and I'll tell you what I think about them.

  • @Groudonmaster687 CURSED TO FOREVER STEP TO THE WHIMS OF THEIR WIG-WEARING MASTERS.

  • i prefer no.1 but i like this too

  • this song reminds of sweet escape

  • Yeah, the beginning does.

  • EXPERIENCE THE BOUNCINESS

  • (And no practice for you!)

  • where can i download rhythm paradise's music?

  • Likewise, I posted that exact comment on other rhythm heaven songs and I was marked as spam!

  • XD Bounce Bounce Bounce Bounce XD

  • in lockstep games it's about learning the offbeat trick! so get to it ^^

  • You know when you listen to this song 2 much, when you can sing the transitions perfectly...like me =P

  • I just tried tapping along to the music with my fingers on my desk, just realised I know the transitions off by heart too. So freaky!!

  • Me too! XD

  • hai hai hai ha HA

  • Plus 1 2 that =P

  • oom-pah oom-pah HAI

  • i didnt find superbing this very difficult, just get on the beat and transitions. BOUNCINESS!

  • The Lockstep levels hurt my eyes so I was forced to train myself to play with my eyes closed. Its not that hard.

  • me too XD i got used to it eventually though, damn georgian guys with silly wigs

  • same here. But it turns out that I can only perfect the Lockstep levels with my eyes closed, so getting used 2 the levels flashiness was only needed 4 superbing this.

  • im not trying to say im pro, cuz this gam has very hard parts, but i seem to get suberb/perfect where most people say its hard/"impossible". then again, everyone is different.

  • I love this song. I don't know why, I just love it.

  • For me, superbing this was far, FAR harder than perfecting. For obvious reasons...

  • lockstep is my fave too, jarc!! 1 and 2!

  • The ☆ Bon Odori!

  • Hai-hai-hai a-HA! Oo-oo-oo-oo! Mm-ha-mm-ha-HAI!

Lockstep is one of my favorite games in Rhythm Heaven, and for good reason!

  • same here mushroomboy and so true stijnvansteen

  • When you screw up on perfects i HATE the sound. IT SCARES ME ALOT! Im not sure why lol

  • It's the most depressing noise ever lol.

  • More like Scawee lol.

  • Oh my GOSH, I agree with you so much!

I'm convinced that the designers of this game

made that noise so that it actually hurts your soul

    D<

    evil game designers

  • my god it didnt scare me that much you must be crazy...

  • that sound scares me too!

  • i guess it scares everyone...

  • it even scares me!

  • Because when you feel like you're doing good for a perfect, and when you suddenly screw up... BAM! That one sound effect will make your heart pop like a balloon.

  • I think its because I get into it, and then all of a sudden...CRASH!

  • I found this level to be incredibly hard. I can't go off-step :(

  • It is very hard to begin with - if you can just nail the audio cue to switch to the off-step you should be fine - once I did that, I was able to do the stages no problem and eventually get perfects on them.

Listen to the guy say hey-hey-hey-a-hoy! Tap the "a-hoy" as he says it exactly, and then just keep tapping with the rhythm you were using. You'll find that you have performed the switch to the off step. Like I say, it's not a different rhythm when you think about it. Just get the switch.

  • Thanks. I doing a bit better.

  • trust me manaphy if you tap to the guy's voice it would cake to you

  • this is a easy level in the game...

but 1 was a hard level?

  • Did anyone notice that Lockstep is like Kirby songs and lockstep 2 is earthbound like!

  • omg so true.

lockstep always reminded me of the carnival level of chameleon twist 2

  • I completely agree with you plasma moai doo-wop is HARD I played it for a perfect and sometimes it feels like you got it and then you get that annoying sound when you fail a perfect. Man sound scared me half to death once because I was not paying attantion and I did not know it was going for a perfect XD

  • I totally agree!

  • This one is tougher only because it's not straight off beats, it's actually slightly swung, kinda like triplets, so it gives it that skippy-bouncy feel.

I just perfected it yesterday... Now I'm just waiting for the chance to perfect Munchy Monk 2! That song rocks.

  • It's actually easier than you think it is. Due to the bouncy part of it, it slows the song down by 1/2.

  • But it also changes the beat of the switches. Instead of switching beat for both on 2/4, you go offbeat on 3/4 and on beat on 1/4.

  • Not much of a change to me. If you have great taste in music, you should know this stuff before you buy it. Also, my advice is to use headphones while playing this game, or plug it into your stereo. XD

  • I perfected both of them! I got it out of my brother's bedroom, got all medals, then just started rackin' up the perfects!

  • I'm too scared to go for the perfects. X_X

  • TOO SCARED? HA!

Im a master at lockstep. Infact its my favorite game

  • ditto

  • So am I, when I play a song that wants me to get a perfect, I get so anxious.

  • Expirience the bouncyness!

  • Just got perfect on this one :D

The only real difference is that it's harder to keep the offbeat, but at least it's slower.

  • you can only obtain the songs when you achieve a perfect on the games when the challenge appears. the gifts are the unlocked songs.

  • This happened to me too.

Remixes and most 2nd edition mini games will not appear until after you get the perfect ranking on all the games.

I was disappointed that no songs were appearing, but then I got all perfect rankings, and I got all the songs.

  • How do you unlock this song to listen to in the game? I beat the second Back Front with the perfect rank and still didn't get it. What am I doing wrong?

  • Yeah, for some reason some songs don't show up. I'm not sure why. You would've probably gotten a letter thingy in-game, but that's not much use. You may have to get every perfect to get it I reckon. When I perfected Remix 7, I was so happy because it was my favourite song. BUT I DIDNT GET IT! Yeah.

  • I wanted to also hear the Remix 9 song without any sounds. Didn't happen :'(

  • If you perfect every game, you unlock the songs that go with the games that ordinarily give you letters.

  • that's impossible for me cause the moai doo woop is f***ing hard.

  • u need to perfect all games to get the remaining songs
