  • And no, Dan Tyminski is NOT Fretkillr on youtube. Dan is awesum and I would never take anything from him but that dude on here that calls himself Fretkillr is way better of a guitar player by far. much cleaner , faster and elaborate.

    sorry Dan.

  • There's a lot of armchair quitar/quaterbacking that goes on here isn't there?

  • Where can we here this "Fretkillr"?? If he is that good, he should be playing somewhere besides his kitchen.. Where??

  • Is Dan Tyminski "Fretkiller?"

  • My ass was kicked and then my name was taken.

  • this is true americana,sounds awesome,love it

  • There is Only one Tony Rice but Zane Fairchild is a dang good guitar player to check him out on here he' Raymond Fairchilds son if that tells you anything but he has a little different style that tony but he's good

  • This is a Jimmy Martin song and they are playing it about as fast as it should be. Tony Rice is the one who sped it up.

  • All the versions are good when they're played by guys as talented as Tony Rice or Dan Tyminski.

  • This was written by Mark Lindsay and Keith Allison of Paul Revere and the Raiders. It has become a true bluegrass classic and has been credited to many others. The original appears on the Raiders Alias Pink Puzz album. Check it out.

  • OK cool, I didn't know that. I always thought Jimmy wrote it and still think he did it the best. God bless you hoofoot.

  • I agree. I love this guys voice (in a non-gay way) but Tony is the master of guitar.

  • He can OUT SING Tony...I am talking about Tony in his prime..but as far as guitar playing..there is only one Tony Rice...

  • The king done it first. you know that right?

  • @SteveGaine

No he can't. Tony in his prime was in a whole different league. His singing and his guitarplay.

  • I am with chiwawacsi on this one. Tony Rice and his All-Star band kick ass on this song!

  • Jimmy Martin would bitch at LESTER FLATT AND EARL SCRUGGS in their prime...I guarantee if Jimmy Martin heard this HE WOULD BITCH ABOUT SOMETHING..HE was the most complaining, obnoxious cuss that ever lived...Dan does a wonderful job..But Jimmy would have something to say about "The timing and the Tone...He was ONE OF A KIND...

  • Well of course he would. But thats just Jimmy. But he knew what he was talking about.. The self proclaimed King of Bluegrass!! No one can top Jimmy.

  • great classic song

  • Wow this Sexy Bluegrass Man gets my 50 year old blood up...... Go Dan...

  • Mauhhhhh to you Tyminksi, you rock and Grass On!!

  • LOL. Andy you need to type in Tony Rice freeborn man and I think you will change your mind on that statement. I love Dan but hes no Tony Rice.

  • dan can flat out mash that d28. wow

  • You said it. He's mashin' it.

  • I think Dan does Jimmy Martin proud with this rendition.

  • looks like a D45 to me

  • it's a pre-war martin d-28.

  • THR65.....I'm not Dan, but that is a D28 (the Mother of All D28's)I think is a 40 something...You can see the white banding around the sides. The D18 has a dark t/s banding around it.

    Go Dan...You the Man.

  • 1946 D-28 Herrinbone. Dan also has a 36 D-18

  • God dang this is good

  • Hey! Dan is that a d-18 or a28

Boy does it ever sound good!

  • I know (V) every inch of highway, Every foot of back road, Every mile of railroad (I)track.

    Sorry

    Dan is da man

Like the Sonny Osborne esque banjo tail at the break

  • Thanks for the lyrics...You need to review your chord progressions..

Should be.... I (V) know every inch of highway, Every foot of back road, Every mile of railroad (I) track.
