I LOVED Ace Young as Berger. At the end of the show I told him, "I have such a big crush on you." He just grabbed my nose and said, "I love it." Still in character. <3 hahaha.

@JamesyJimmyBoy93 I really agree! I went to see Mr. Young perform twice, and I've seen many clips of Will Swenson also. Swenson just seems like he's focusing on his part too much - Ace Young became his part. Berger's supposed to be a charismatic and wildly immature teenager, and Ace Young just seemed that way.

He's no Will but he has a different take on Berger.  He uses things WIll did, but he's more toned-down.

Honestly...if acting is his thing, then it would make a difference to actually see him, but based on just this audio of it, it doesn't sound like he can really act it, either. If you listen to Will Swenson in the studio recording, where there is little "acting" involved since he's in front of a microphone with no audience or anything, he still sounds like he has more enthusiasm and energy in that performance (of course, if you actually see him it's just amazing). I personally am not impressed.

Maybe it's just me (and I haven't seen him in this role), but...isn't singing supposed to be his thing? I was kind of expecting to be underwhelmed by his overall performance, but honestly, I thought the vocals would be better. I know it's not quite fair to compare him to Will Swenson, as he's just so incredible, but he DID take over the role...

I'm just not too impressed with what I've heard so far.

i went to see this the day before yesterday. it wasn't amazing. it was alright-ish. from 1-10 (10 being best) it's overall a 5-6. was kinda dissapointed.

Saw him in this today and was very impressed. He certainly can sing and dance and had great stage presence. Very good and easy easy easy on the eyes!!
