demolisher and scavenger aren't the same person their excavator modes are slightly different, scavenger's excavator mode is so much larger than demolisher's excavator mode. and all those Constructicons were actually Autobots in the classic transformers series

Actually those constructicons were in the movie (Long Haul, rampage, demolishor, mixmaster) but the real ones that form devastator are mixmaster (another one), Scavenger (demolishor's brother), scrapper, hightower, Long Haul (another one), and rampage (another one). =)
