  • (ㄅ,ㄆ,ㄇ,ㄈ,ㄉ,ㄊ,ㄋ,ㄌ,ㄍ,ㄎ,ㄏ,ㄐ,ㄑ,ㄒ) each cannot be pronounced by itself and must be paired w/ ㄛ, ㄜ, & ㄧ. In particular, for (ㄅ,ㄆ,ㄇ,ㄈ), each is paired w/ ㄛ, thus (ㄅㄛ,ㄆㄛ,ㄇㄛ,ㄈㄛ), for (ㄉ,ㄊ,ㄋ,ㄌ,ㄍ,ㄎ,ㄏ), each is w/ ㄜ, thus (ㄉㄜ,ㄊㄜ, ㄋㄜ,ㄌㄜ,ㄍㄜ,ㄎㄜ,ㄏㄜ), and for (ㄐ,ㄑ,ㄒ), each is w/ ㄧ, thus (ㄐㄧ,ㄑㄧ,ㄒㄧ). In this video, the teacher pronounced (ㄅㄜ,ㄆㄜ,ㄇㄜ,ㄈㄜ), which is incorrect. In Mandarin, (ㄅ,ㄆ,ㄇ,ㄈ) are NEVER combined w/ ㄜ, except for (ㄇㄜ˙) as in 什麼(ㄇㄜ˙).
