@jeffg24LT21 yes but you cannot fault jimmie for simply winning at what is given to him. A rule change was made and he adapted to it. The chase is much tougher to win in than the old points system. And thats bullshit Gordon runs the sameeee stuff as johnson. The engineers hardly know whose car their working on in the garage before their painted. @lineman6563 the chase is not tougher to win than the winston cup points systyem. If it wasnt for the chase Jimmie would have count it 0 championships. Right before the chase started this year Jimmie was 8th in points over 500 points behind Kevin Harvick. The chase helped ease Jimmie for a championship. And Gordon did better than jimmie this year. Jeff would have finished 2nd in points this year under winston cup system and harvick would be the champion

The reason the chase was invented because Matt Kenseth had 1 win in 2003 but won the championship. But Kenseth whipped everyones ass in 2003 and deserved the championship. The chase is to cause drama and make it exciting for fans. Not to crown a true champion.
