I was fortunate to have seen this incredibly powerful film about a year ago at the Boston International Film Festival. I'm hoping very much to be able to see it again.
I've heard nothing but good things and am totally looking forward to seeing this film soon, and not just because I live right down the road from where it was filmed. As the creative team behind this work, did it ever strike you as a bit depressing how easy it was to make the Cedar-Riverside area look like a third-world country? Do you think your work contains any implicit commentary on the economic, cultural and social lines between well-defined groups in the twin-cities?
@fibinacialfredo3 Thank you! Actually, the community in which we filmed couldn't have been more accommodating. The neighborhood was actually quite clean and void of garbage/graffiti. I chose the area specifically because of the ambiguous architecture. Took A LOT of work to make it look 3rd world. Visual Effects made buildings look worn down and stained. Art direction gave area depressed feel. I got a sense of neighborhood pride from people while there. Thank you for support!

Just saw this short at the Seattle Film Festival. I was moved by this short film. In my opinion, by far the best short I've seen this year.
