Beautiful! Makes me feel like taking a trip to every corner of the island... because Hokkaido was settled so much later than the rest of Japan, both the landscapes and the townscapes do have a very distinct style.

The rural landscapes are amazing. They look more like Scotland or Ireland or Maine or somewhere than Japan.

The nature looks beautiful but I was thinking of going to Japan in December, and this footage looks like it's in the Spring or Summer. Does anyone know if the forests are still nice in the winter there?

The land of Hokkaido is covered by much snow in winter. It must be a nice place if you like skiing.

Yah, it seems like most of the shots in this video were taken in late Spring.
In winter Hokkaido is covered in snow. I think it's nice, it has a certain appeal, but it isn't green like in the video.
If you want to do sightseeing then I recommend Summer because the weather is nice and there are many festivals and events to see.
