Thanks for sharing your carding videos! They are full of useful information I haven't found elsewhere. Question: I have never found a "burnishing tool" anywhere. Would a hand carder be a good substitute?
@emily91ify Yeap, just turn it so the tines are backwards, but it may ruin your carder. Search online for Susans Fiber Shop (.com). She has one for sale. :) That's where I got all my spinning equipment from. Susan is an awesome lady.
I really love your demonstration videos and hope you will continue to make them. You are straightforward and explain very clearly the steps to follow, which is especially helpful for beginners like me. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with others.

Thanks so much for the video! I'm trying to decide whether to get a drum carder, and this is definitely making me want one. I have one question for you, though: is that the Deb's Deluxe with production cloth or fur cloth? (I'm interested in that model.) Thanks again!
OMG my husband is going to want to come after you because I'm DYING to get a drum carder now. Too bad for him! He knew I was an obsessive personality when he married me. Now I'm obsessed with carding!
Thanks so much for all the postive feedback! If anyone is unaware, I am doing a fundraiser to raise the funds to replace a RAM chip in my puter that is crappin out, making it impossible to edit video to upload to youtube. I have two more waiting to be edited! You can find my fundraiser page at rexenne. chipin. com/ new-1gig-ram-chip (take out spaces). I appriciate every little bit that helps! Thanks for your consideration and support!!
Thank you. Someone turned me onto your videos this morning. I've had my drum carder for months and not used it and I watched all your drum carding vids today and I've not only made my first blended batt but I'm also carding all the junk I've had sitting here for dog knows how long. Also, my drum carder has never been cleaner and I vow to get a burnishing tool at SAFF in a few weeks. Again, thank you, you got me moving!
Thanks for the positive feedback as it is always appriciated. For some reason a couple comments have been sitting for a couple months because I was not notified of them. Sorry! I am glad you are having fun with your carder now!
Thanks Rexenne! I have enjoyed watching your videos. They are down right enlighten mixed with a great sense of fun. (Also, I would like to concur with Specedt1 - more basics on using the spinning wheel)
Off of Ebay, user ID wind4934. She sells in the 1/2 ounce lots which is good enough for one pound of fiber. It doens't look like much but it lasts for a long while! I haven't found a cheap source for nylon so that would be a no.
Rexenne... on the nylon, I don't know if its a good price, but check out littlebarn on ebay, he sells 8 oz bags of it. I think I paid somewhere between 8 or 10 dollars for it.
Oh! I almost forgot. I went in, for my last time before I go home, to Weaving Works in seattle.....and I cuddled all the bags of wool! I'm SOOO going to miss the smell of sheepies!
You are totally awesome! I just love your videos. It's bad enough that I'm spinning. You make me want to get a drum carder and start processing my own fleece. LOL!
Your videos are awesome! I don't have a drum carder but I keep watching your carding videos anyway! I agree - dying would be good! Can also use some basics on using a spinning wheel...thanks for sharing your wit and wisdom!

Hi Rexenne, you are so talented! Your videos are the best. I would like to know where to get the silk hankies if you don't mind. I live in Canada.

Do you realize that (unless I am using the wrong key words) YOU are the only person on YouTube demonstrating a drum carder!!!
I can't tell you how much you have enhanced my fiber life with ALL your videos!

Yep! That is one of the main reasons I did them. Now I see there is a lack of proper tatting tutorials so I will do a few of those as well! :)
