Your explanaionis very good but wrong. There are several problems with your explanation. Also this was no inbound craft it was flying away from the east, not towards it!
Can't have been. No way would I have seen it with just my 4x zoom camera, You would need a telescope or binocs to see it that large. Another point is ISS dose not move around like that did. With my naked eye it was very clearly no further than 5 to 6 miles away. It may have been closer than this also. Near the end when I moved to get a better footing the object just vanished. It did not zoon away as it appears in the video. by the time i looked back up it was gone! still very weird!!
Most definately a plane. I often see them around wakefield coming in low to approach Leeds/Bradford airport. Its the headlights that you can see. When it gets at a certain angle the lights look like they have disappeared.
