I hate when George Lucas digitally edits his reduxes-- the CGI used in the robot assembly and vehicle sequences may have "modernized" the film, but at the same time it ruined the nostalgia of a pioneer science fiction film from an era when sci-fi chose to be intellectual. I wish Lucas would just learn to leave things (including franchises) alone... To the poster, zombiehellmonkey: I felt that this was his most professional cinamatographic film, and possibly his best overall. Thanks for posting.

This movie was filmed in 1969 and released in 1971, much of it is still relevant today, including what the NWO will try to implement in the future, including getting rid of most humans in favor of automation, cybernetics and robotics.
