It's certainly not profound, but who feels like being poetic at a time like that. One might say I was being disrespectful, but I beg to differ. Aw, I am a Lennon fan, but John was a little short-sighted. I do believe Paul understood and liked John, more than John understood and liked Paul. Much of Paul's work with the Beatles was inspired by John-- he took his personality and made it more commercial than John ever could. Later with the Beatles, Paul was constantly trying to inspire John to get interested in the group again, and get out of his depression. I see his final letting go of John as the song "Let It Be".
