It's unfortunate that most psychedelic drugs have completely fallen away in more mainstream cultures, because I honestly think those drugs often helped show people who the real artists were and they sometimes helped those real artists make even more incredible art. Much of the sound we enjoy in rock music today was pioneered by artistic minds that were expanded by psychedelic drugs. What can I say? Most real artists in music today never get as much of the spotlight as the fakers do. It's unfortunate, but a real artist is trying to make art rather than just do whatever makes the most money and that's their downfall in the music industry. If they're true to themselves, they probably wont ever make as much or be as popular as the ones who are willing to do whatever brings in money. But I doubt that any real artist would ever want to be one of "those people".
