  • Used to go to the one on rte 110 in Huntington/Melville area.

  • this was the coolest era even if it was not digital ..just so much more to do, harder to seek and more contending...like hearing about something on the radio ; or TV, having to drive out to buy it ; then bringing it home and being the first one to have it...

  • I remember going to the one in Brooklyn on Linden Blvd. My friend Joe and I would walk from ehere we lives on City Line, and have to walk thru "The Hole" to get there. It was a pretty shady area to have to walk thru.

  • "Record World and The Record Shops @ TSS--

    WE GOT MOOORREEEE!!!"

  • What does TSS stand for?

  • Times Square Stores.

  • I forgot "Terrifiying Sociopathic Scum."

  • Times Square Stores; Totally Shitty Service; To Screw-you Sore; That Suck-ass Store; Terrible Service Skills; Terrifying un-Social Slobs; Terri's Struggling Soldiers (I worked at the TSS in Sayville, NY back in 1985. 'Still have nightmares about it.)

It should be noted that the owner of the company decided he wanted his name in-there somewhere, so the stor'e name was changed to "TSS Seedmans" before promptly going bankrupt in 1990!

  • I use to shop at the one in Levittown. Serial killer Joel Rifkin used to work at that one.

  • Honing his skills, no doubt?

  • Thats Dennis Elsas doing the voice over.
