ভাই অনেক দঃখের সাথে জানাচ্ছি বাংলা গানের স্রস্টাদের ব্যাপারে ইন্টারনেটে কিছু বলেনা । মাত্র দূটো সাইট আছে , তারা কিছু জানায় , আমি তাদের ওপর নির্ভর করি। সেখানে এ ব্যাপারে কিছু পেলাম না । DR Q Islaam নামক এক জন ইউ টিউবে আছেন, তার কাছে খোঁজ নিয়ে দেখতে পারো।। ধন্যবাদ

yes you are right. They are same Tree. I have done some research too. It is found in western part of Bengal among saal, teak, arjun and mahua trees. I can discount other poets but kabiguru wrote in mathili 'Sal-Piyale Tala-Tamale Nibiro Timiro Mayo Punja' . He never digress from facts.
