Any album, Roxy or 801, that features Manzenera playing that fine-ass Goldtop, Andrew McKay, and Ferry is a piece of ART! It's just too bad they changed the line of covers to exclude the supermodels... I guess that "in every dream home" there IS a heartache!
Manifesto gets a bum rap from critics and fans alike. This is a great album and the band literally reinvented itself years after the brilliant first 4 or 5 albums, to make popular music for a new era without losing the wonderful songwriting of Ferry. Love this album. It's a good workout disc too!
Absolutely BRILLIANT. The Robert Louis Stevenson classic, told in less than five minutes' time, drenched in cool, crreamy, crisp art-rock goodness. It don't get no better than this!
It listens to this hits and other songs in RADIO DISCOTEQUE. It enters in GOOGLE or YAHOO the words RADIO DISCOTEQUE and it discovers a new dimension of radio in Internet.
This album " Manifesto " marks the third version of Roxy Music followed by the albums " Flesh and Blood " and lastly " Avalon" fans affectionately call this version of Roxy Music Mach III . The sound of the band becomes more elegant and refined with an emphasis on lush arrangements.
Beautiful, haunting AND sexy?!? At the same time? Seriously. Bryan Ferry is a fucking genius. No matter who I like (Elton John, Morrissey, etc) I still like him most because he's so....so...so...he knows.
He's so great. The only other singer I can think of who has ever done anything like this is Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, singing Schubert's "Erl-Koenig", a really scary song with three characters.
Love this song. Underrated album.

Some would also refer to this later version as 'Bryan Ferry and friends'.

Robert Louis Stevenson's tale of duality and madness told in less than five minutes...only Roxy could pull that off! Long live MANIFESTO!!!

Perhaps the best song about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I think the best thing in this song is the guitar riff heard at the beginning and repeated later.
