the tops of cars before 1937 being made out of fabric and wood was not for cost. the reason is because there was no way to produce sheetmetal wide enough for a full one piece roof panel. And if that 28/29 model a were in bare metal you would notice seams just above the bodylines on the quarter panels and the doors because the sheetmetal was not wide enough to produce a full door skin

Being in the business of hauling scrap metal, i tend to run into cars like these all the time. Dont worry i am a huge car fan and dont scrap anything unless its totally rotted. This summer was kind of sad. I crushed a 60's cobra and a plymouth gtx. also a buick with the straight 8! I was almost in tears when the buick was being crushed.

Video would have been more interesting without the DUMB commentary. The COOK HOMESTEAD sign reads Historical SITE not sign as commentator saidby the way. Would be nice to know if this old lot was abandoned or is it someone selling from the side of the road because going by the traffic noise, it is a busy road, which tells me that the cars would be vandalised by now unless the vehicles are being sold off by a local keeping an eye on them.
