  • Awesome ride for the little girl!!

  • I love the guy in the video. "Reins are too long" ..Like seriously, this girl is what...8! Fuck you fat ass.

  • to cute

  • @watsonhorsefarm009 there's no such thing as a "16.9" hand horse. sorry.

  • she's so small compared too the horse!!

  • lol ''Do I have to canter?'' that is so cute <3

  • WHAT A WONDERFUL HORSE

  • Cute but the little girl should have a helmet on.

  • Horses like that are worth their weight in gold.

  • @XceptingDeniall He sure is!!! THank you everyone for the positive comments!

  • omg i have ran there before haha :D

  • She should just have a halmet on thats all.

  • dude, tht was like me except im 12 but i had a 19 year old horse and he was amazing(:

  • hahaha this reminds me of riding when i was 8, i was the tiniest little kid and i was riding a percheron XD

  • I have a mustang gelding who is like this, sometimes I STILL get on him and if anything is slightly off he thinks about every move. Love the bomb proof horses out there that watch out for their riders

  • @elleca321horsesrock is there a rule book for what size rider can ride what size horse ?~ the answer is NO!~ In my experience it is the inexperienced people that judge others in a negative manor.! The most excellent horse and rider combos come in all shapes and sizes! It is a matter of how well the pair gets along as a team. How about the QH of the decade? He is 23 yrs old this year and has taken 3 little girls to the up most of world titles! The horse is Nate shalibar.... aka Hot Shot...

  • @shylillover1 in western riding, little kids often ride big horses so if they mess up they they are MUCH less likely to upset the horse's balance, and horses like that are often bomb proof ; )

  • awh :) i love seeing little kids enjoying horses and starting at a young age.

the horse looks like he was being so careful to listen to her every command. adorable :)

  • That is just too cute. Despite what other say when my friend was small she rode a danish warmblood. Penelope was 16.2hh. A small rider can ride a big horse.

  • ohh he is such a sweetheart!

  • Is Yellar the horse or the girl?

    ;)

  • @Nizingur Horse

  • @rose444100 Lol I know, I just thought it was funny because the description could be read both ways!

  • i was younger when i first galloped

  • Not to bad!

  • Too cute!!! Its nice to start out slow like that. I'm 13 and me and my horse are only cantering and its nice!! I don't plan on galloping anytime soon I've only galloped once and it was sorta scary to me!!! Too fast for my liking I guess!!

  • so adorable!

  • that is so sweet when i was maybe her age i used to have an old appaloosa that was 23 and he took really good care of me. i think thats what makes great riders not the experiance but the love!

  • I agree.

  • this is cute the horse is great with her

at my stables it's the little ones you need to look out for last week a 12hh pony dumped a girl on the floor twice in 10 minutes

  • that is just to cute!!

  • he's a sweet horse, and he loves his little rider hehe

  • It looks like the more she bounces, the slower he goes lol so cute!

  • Good ride! :)

  • that is so adorable.

  • Did you know that angels come in all shapes and sizes? We compete in big rodeos and barrelraces and if we were to settle on a pony we would have to worry about all of the other horses and animals running over the top of a pony or if another horse were to kick out at a child that were riding a pony the chances of the child getting kicked and seriously injured would be much higher....

  • Is there a book on how many hands tall a horse should be for a specific size of rider?

  • @krystal7111 there's no book on it but there is recommended height for a balanced look and a more balanced ride, literally. But hey, Mongolians ride some of the smallest horses in the world, they did it all day everyday through wars and travels, and I've seen a woman with no lower body ride a huge Friesian. When heart is involved there are no rules.

  • @H0useMouse Like you said-- If there is heart then there are no rules! We dont care how balanced the look is... and there is not much of a more balanced ride then this pair-- Ole Yellar was the smoothest, rockin chair style horse that I have seen in a lifetime of horses..

  • huge horse and little girl lol

  • and, canchasinwithsooner, shes not even galloping! shes cantering! get ur gaits right b4 u go sayin somethin u shouldnt've said!

  • actually I wasnt even talking about the little girl in the video I was making comment to another user about something completely different, so before you go bashing people get the facts please! This little girl did wonderful! plus I dont criticize kids.

  • i barrel race too. this is soo cute little girl on huge monster lol jk

  • try jumpin off a cliff! God has a place for nasty people.

  • BAHAHAHAHA

  • She is so little she is probably not ready for a gallop!

  • well the way i learn ( wich i know is diffrent than others ) was to walk then go to trot the go to a lop then galop then you know how to ride

  • but i also think it has to do with the age you start barrel training, i started at 14, so i learned that way to walk, trot, lope, the gallop. But i think when your young and your parents put you up on a trust worthy and wise horse you kind of just go at the pace of which you can push the horse, which may be not that fast yet, but yes i do get what you were trying to say!

  • well when i was a little kid ( 2 years ) i learn to ride on a 2 year old paint stallion i could glapo in just a little while every one i know was tought the same way so i gess it just comes natrual to think kids at that age can to

  • Yeah i hear what your saying, i guess it just all depends on how we grew up around horses, and how we were taught. Good luck to you and your horses though, if you started riding when you were 2 then you obvisouly have alot of horse experiance! I started riding when i was 11 i wish i would have been able to learn at an early age!

  • well thank you good luck to you and your horses 2

  • @horsefreak19 ...What adult was letting you ride a 2-year-old colt when you were a toddler? I call TROLLLLL.

  • thats how i learned =P its also alot better for the horse...so they dont get hot headed..ha =]

  • thats the same way my dad makes me ride

  • oh, dont even start!

  • Because you just said that you had a 16.9 hand high Quarter Horse, your comment has no merit to it now.

  • ahahah, agreed.

  • okay seriously that was rude. that girl was probably just starting out. and it doesnt matter how old she is she was having fun and yes the horse being big does have something to do wit it. most big horses take advantage of young kids like that. and theres no such thing as 16.9 sweetheart!

  • Wow, you just proved your stupid by saying your horse was 16.9 hands.

Come on people. It's a little girl. Just because people think she's cute and no one thought you were cute as this age because you thought you were hot stuff, doesn't mean you have to rain all over her parade.

  • You know, I think she did really well. She's really young and maybe she hasn't ridden horses for as long as you have. She's actually going pretty fast at a young age, don't you think so cantering is a good spot for her right now and if you can't handle the fact that doesn't go as fast as YOU then just leave it alone. I don't care if it's not a gallop.

  • your a fucking idiot. 16.9? how do you even make that mistake!?

  • aww thats so cute

  • What a great old campaigner for that little girl! For me, there is not enough money in the world to part with a horse like that. Great video....

  • omg she is so cute! what a well behaved horse too!

  • omg, shes teeny

  • aww wat a great horse

  • YELLER FOR SALE????

  • not for sale. but I wish I had a million of him because every child needs one just like him. I do know of a mare that is in need of a little rider---- she can be a bit of a handful in the alley way but is a 2d barrel horse. she is still being ran in bigger rodeos and barrel races by an 11 yr.old little girl.... the mare is a very healthy 23 yrs old.... she has been owned by the same family her whole life. she is ready to retire to a smaller rider. if interested let me know.

  • you can just see him thinking: is she ok? should I canter?

  • yes he is a blessing for our family--- he has a bigger brain then some of the people who comment on here--lol.

  • I can tell he is very special! I love to see a good horse, have had the pleasure of knowing a few like yeller, and those types have taught me to ride as much as any human!

  • lol thats so cute! i wish my horse was like him lol

  • He was very sensitive to her. It looks like he was thinking very carefully over every move. I doubt he would have fell with her riding, he was too focused on her safety. Girls about that size at my ranch ride horses 15 and 16hh.

  • its just the cutest thing when little girls ride! especially in rodeos! their butts bounce at least 5 feet up in the saddle! =D *****+

  • i dont like the comments of the little kids "KICK THAT HORSE RUN RUN!!!" But she did really good! :)

  • good job kid great horse those are the ones you wouldn't trade for the world!!!

  • What a good boy :)

    I love horses like that!!!

And your little girl is going to be a star!

  • Ok---- you must have been running on a stick horse sized pattern because the only arena that has a 13-14 second pattern is at the NFR in Vegas.... and if you have time to bash a 6 yr. old then you are not on the road with the WPRA. Another thing, the people who bash others hardly ever win.

  • No one is running 17's when they are like 6!

  • shut up please look how young she is she will beat you butwhen she is your age!

  • She's 6 wth were you doin at age 6?

  • Awe, she did great. That horse is amazing, what a good boy. :)

  • she so little! how brave! how old is she?

  • That is so so so so so so cute!!!! And i agree a horse like that is priceless! He seems so patient and a parents dream to look after there child its just too cute!

  • so cute!!

  • OH my gosh she is so cute! How old is she?

  • She just turned 6..... and ole Yellar doesnt miss a beat... he is a super brrel and pole horse and has won many titles, saddles, and buckles in his lifetime. He knows just how fast to go with my little girl. We have had some really good offers from people wanting to buy him but he is priceless to us. we have 200 acres of hills, creeks, trails and vallies that Mattie and Yellar ride everywhere for hours at a time--- Every little barrel racer needs a Yellar!!

  • Adorable

  • Yellar only goes as fast as she wants to go!! THey take care of each other and are getting faster every time!! I am so proud of my little girl and this big ole guy!
