Thanks Elofan. Would be great if you (or someone) could post their beautiful song This Too Shall Pass Away - and also How The Mighty Are Fallen, both tremendous Joe Meek productions.
Thanks Elofan for posting this, loved all the images ! You are obviously a big fan. Have you heard the bootleg CD of the HONEYCOMBS TEA-CHEST TAPES ? It is well worth a listen !
Any musicians out there, the chords to "COLOUR SLIDE" are... Verses: Dmaj, Gmaj, A7. Chorus: Gmaj, A7, Dmaj, D7, Gmaj, A7, Dmaj, Emaj, E9, Amaj, Aaug, D. Percivere & you will soon be playing it !
The "HONEYCOMBS" debut album is one of the finest (and underated) releases of the 60s beat boom. All the songs are strong, & brillianty executed. The arrangements by rhythm guitarist Martin Murray. Denny D'ell's vocals really shine !
Of all the albums in my possession -- and the number is quite substantial -- I consider the six songs on the first side of this Honeycombs album as the very best single side (all songs combined) of any album that I own.
It's a good video, it fits the images: no objetcions at all. Just one thing: do you have the songs "Just a face in the crowd" and "Nice while it lasted"? They are two of my favourite.
This is such a fun song. Has anybody else struggled to make out the last line?
I finally found out it is,
'and now what good's my colour slide'
Maybe my audio quality is a bit rubbish I don't know.
