@TheChrisJoones shouldn't adoption be because you want to GIVE something rather then GET it? Shouldn't it be because YOU love the creature rather than because you want love from the creature? I took in a cat. Not because I wanted something for myself but because I wanted to help the cat. He gets hairs everywhere, has bitten me, has scratched me, has shit and pissed somewhere other than the litter tray (at least once was my fault), but I love him and keep him. And he loves me.

What if the cat decides not to bother moving much? Are you still going to want the cat then? @TheRushingWind i've had a cat crap on my bed my shirt and the floor, ive had a cat piss all over my bed, and on good clothes, it doesn't phase me, my cats are like family to me. i didn't imply that i wasn't going to love her if she became ugly, i would love her if she lost use of her front paws too, i would carry her around so she could do anything she would want. trust me, i love my kittens. there's tears in the couch, and if shes lazy, she's just like my other 4 cats, it's no problem.

Its amazing how cats can adapt to anything. I found my kitten in a bag in the middle of the road and she had a collapsed lung and didnt move for two days. 1 week later shes running around like a maniac...but she still doesnt meow :(
