I do play an instrument but I'm not a musician. I prefer to think of musical geniuses as musicians. I'm talking about the likes of Frank Zappa just to name one. I'm already certain my musical brain trumps the size of yours because no person that appreciates musical talent thinks of Hendrix as a great player. He was original and that is all.

Half the people are just fans of Jimi's. They really have no clue about musical ability. I like some of his songs but to call him a genius is just out of the question. He just made the right noise at the right time as did the Beatles and so on. He was mediocre compared to some real musical talents and that prevents me from saying he is the best thing that ever touched a guitar. I have the same purpose as anyone, to express my opinion. You don't have to agree. That doesn't make me feel wrong.

When I started to play(end of 1969), I was a "normal" guitar player, but 3 month after, I saw Jimi on TV, then I turn to left... Playing Hendrix's music, is my way to thanks Jimi everyday...
