As an ex - JW, born and raised into the cult, I agree. I hope Anonymous puts Jehovah's Witnesses in their sights. After realizing that the religion was a farce, I was excommunicated from the religion, lost all family support and was put out onto the street while I was still in college (over 10 years ago). Till this day my family refuses contact with me. The amount of damage they have done to many children psychologically and over the blood issue is staggering, and it must END.
It still happens, but thankfully, high course have ruled that a doctor can ignore a parents withholding of blood for a child on the grounds that the child is not of surfficent mind to know the implications.
Shame it still does happen, but that is the general ruling and practise in the medical field

As an ex - JW, born and raised into the cult, I agree. I hope Anonymous puts Jehovah's Witnesses in their sights. After realizing that the religion was a farce, I was excommunicated from the religion, lost all family support and was put out onto the street while I was still in college (over 10 years ago). Till this day my family refuses contact with me. The amount of damage they have done to many children psychologically and over the blood issue is staggering, and it must END.

It still happens, but thankfully, high course have ruled that a doctor can ignore a parents withholding of blood for a child on the grounds that the child is not of surfficent mind to know the implications.
Shame it still does happen, but that is the general ruling and practise in the medical field

I guess I don't see how Scientology is different from the other religions. I think it is as absurd as they are, but I don't understand why it should be singled out as some how more repugnant than Christianity or Islam. In fact, I appreciate that it exists, because such a blatant exploitation of humanity in the form of creating religion, in front of our very eyes speaks volumes about the ones that did this thousands of years ago.

As far as I can tell, all religions are based on greed and power. Scientology is only different in that it happened before our eyes.
When I think about the dangers of Scientology, they seem very minimal compared with religions like Christianity, which is actively attempting to force itself into legislation, this I see as the greatest threat to freedom.
Islam too is a greater threat, Middle Eastern children are being brought up with the career goal of "martyr with a bomb".

All these religions have right ideas, their morals tell you to be nice to people, to volunteer, among other things. I don't believe one should follow the bible by the word for much of it was written in a more crude period of our existence. Religion creates order, attempts at making people do right, and unifies a nation. I'm of course referring to Islam and Christianity.
