Nice vid. I shift around 7800 too, when I shift at 74 redline it stays out of vtec from 1st to 2nd (5100-5200 ish) since vtec is at 55 for the BB6

lets end the argument! the rev limiter is just that, it limits the operating range of the motor so that it doesn't detonate! the rev limiter is computer controlled and when it reaches a set rpm it stops supplying fuel to the motor so it will not harm it self, kinda idiot proof! so hit the rev limiter all you want just don't keep it there for too long! although shifting in the red will keep you in vtec range but it is not where you produce the most power!

Obviously it won't make the most power, the only car to make power all the way to redline is the M3 and a few other high end vehicles.

You can bounce Honda engines off the limiter all day, and they won't blow up. it's not until you start operating the engine outside of it's specification that you need to worry about that (forced induction). In which case, if you've built it up properly, you don't need to worry.

but it has less torque so that means no OOMHP unlike the 2.2L H22A4 which has a good amount of it starting at about 5250- 5500rpm (Vtec) which is earlier than most civics w/VTEC since they have less displacement which means more revving and higher VTEC engagment point but still less torque. This is the reason why they bumped up the S2000 to 2.2L

the type sh is totally fine to do bolt on mods, but forced induction with alot of power usually messes up the atts

as long as you don't drop the suspensions you should be fine

Suspension has nothing to do with the ATTS. Too much power will shut it down, the computer apparently can only handle 250hp or something similar.

if you want the most out of the lude when going all out. shift at 8000 in every gear. not 7400

first gear you must to stay in vtec but all other gears is useless. plus almost stock H22's don't make any more power above 7k
