My friend's cat is scared of people. Or maybe just me. I was at her dining table and he was staring at me from behind (I could feel it) when I was taking a bagel out of the bag. I went to the bathroom and when I got out, I saw that he was on the table and instantly, he jumped off like he wasn't suppose to be there- like a kid hiding something when a parent walks in. After that, he was staring at me. i wiped my nose and he goes "meow!" and runs upstairs

My oldest cat makes those same noises when I pet her. It was a tad scary when she first started doing this. Then it escalated into her licking my other hand while petting her. Then the licks turned into nuzzles...with teeth. And eventually the nuzzles got even more aggressive and she'd take a nip out of me. Then stand there and nudge her head against my hand...MORE. LOL. I don't know what she enjoys more the rub or biting me. oh well, we don't call her the Wooly Bully for nothing.

When I was like 12, I discovered that all cats have a spot behind their ear where if you rub it or scratch it, they will involuntarily try to scratch with their hind leg, whichever leg is dominant. After much mischievous experimentation I discovered that some cats were more responsive than others, but my cat would react so noticeably that she would fall over if sitting upright and lay there doing the 'invisible bike' if you kept doing it. Hilarious.
