  • Never Forget.

  • It's interesting to see the effects of Taris' bombardment in The Old Republic, which takes place 300 years after this game. Taris has been reclaimed by nature. There's grass, trees, swamps, and of course, rakghouls. As for the outcasts and the Promised Land... aaaahhhh...

You'll have to play it for yourself. I'm not saying anything, but prepare for anything.

  • hes worst then hitler and u guys saying hitler is a bad guy...lol

  • @nightxwingjedi they are both bad

  • Oh well. At least the pompous pazaak player in the Upper City Cantina will be killed.

  • i always loved the way Malak sounded

  • It made me really sad when they destroyed Taris, because everyone's lives that I saved, everything I did, didn't matter.

  • @Bob2IzIcon: That's like saying what you do in this lifetime doesn't matter because by the time 100 years goes by, we're all going to be gone.

  • @JediShemL it does actually make sense. As Malak destroys planet on which you were saving people it makes you feel that he ruined your hard work, hence making him a bigger villain.

  • @JediShemL what about the people who live to be 100+?

  • @LawsonMovies: You totally misconstrued what I said.

  • @Bob2IzIcon That, in a way, is pretty much the entire point. It makes Malak even worse. All you did for all those people, and Malak comes and destroys them.

  • They should remaster this game. New graphics. Oh yeah!!!

  • Saul = Zaaed Massani

  • Why is it that every comment JediShemL posts on here is absolute pwnage composed of text letters?

  • @Kaweebo

Because arrogant idiots continue to think they can outsmart Shem even though they always fail...

  • @Kaweebo

Watching Shem burn someone is fun isn't it??

  • @JediShemL I have the game so i know the animations. But the sith ARE known to use the force to increase their threats. "Success at all costs" Master Uthar says that on Korriban.

  • @Dhbbell: I can't believe you're still trying to argue it. I bet you live in a world where you have to be right all the time, even when you're wrong. Malak has already said, follow my orders or die. That should be enough, yet you don't want to believe it because it makes you wrong and you can't stand for that can you? I bet Malak would want him to defy him in a way so he can make an example of Saul. That is what Sith do and it's something that's over your fucking head.

  • Let me put it to you bluntly. If you believe Malak uses the mind trick, even though I already logically pointed out how it didn't happen, you're an idiot. But don't feel bad. For some reason idiots have to exist in this world. Because without idiots like you, we know who the smart people are. LOL

  • @JediShemL Sorry for all the questions latley, you're probably getting quite a few of 'em.

But, uh... do you know what kind of graphics card you had when you made these videos. If not, thats cool :D

  • @Dhbbell

    @Dhbbell

This is not a mind trick and here's why. Every time a mind trick is used, the person with the weak enough mind tricked always repeats what is being commanded of them. Saul does no such thing. Also I don't think Saul is weak. I couldn't imagine Malak wanting a weak minded fool as an admiral.

  • I really like the new skin for Admiral Karath; his uniform is much less obnoxiously fancy than his original character model.

  • @RC1309 I liked the original one. It made it look like he had gotten THAT much more prestige to leave the Republic. Therefore his betrayal was the greatest...see what i mean?

  • Taris will be featured in TOR. I would go there first.

  • amazing how one ship destroys almost an entire planet

  • @Ralenissocold notice the line "it will take several hours to position the fleet"...

  • Malak stole Revan's mantle i cant believe he is so arrogant to wear it as if it was his property.

  • @NEMESIS1999 thats the sith for ya thats how it works

  • 0:59-1:02 Malak uses mind trick?

  • @Almaskakas12: Nope, he's just waving his hand.

  • @JediShemL i have to disagree it looks like he is

  • @thecpmonster: People "wave" their hand all the time in this game. It's one of the animations during conversations. That doesn't mean they're always doing mind tricks, especially the non-Jedi who do it to since they share many of the same animations.

LOL - I love it when people read into things way more than they are.

  • @JediShemL yeah okay i belive you but u have to say i does look like a jedi mind trick even though it isnt ive played this game about 19 times diff acounts and ive never seen that but good eye in spotting that

  • @JediShemL But look at HOW he moves his hand...it's a mind trick

  • @Dhbbell: Again, it's an animation in the game that is used all the time.

Besides, Sith don't use mind tricks. They use threats. In fact, Malak threatens Saul in this very video and Saul gets the message. No mind trick needed after the threat, yet the animation happens after the threat.

Another thing about mind tricks is the person being tricked always repeats the order back to the Jedi who gives it. That didn't happen here.

  • @thecpmonster Why does he need to mindtrick his underling admiral?

  • @Almaskakas12 very possible that it's a mind trick

  • I love this scene.

  • Darth Malak voice is awesome. i mean truly what a villain's voice should be like this.

  • Saul is hot

  • wasn't darth malak in the commercial for "star wars: the old republic" upcoming online game?

  • @thundrwaffle

No cause it will be about 300 years after Revan vs Malak fight, but sith warriors specialition Jugernaut will look like malak.

  • Admiral Karath: Mylord, there is this one woman we can´t find...

Darth Malak: Destroy the entire planet !

    Admiral Karath: Ah...okay.

    Sith are wonderful comedians :)

  • why didnt the bombardment of taris cause Malak to become a wound in the force and for kreia to set her sights on him?

  • It would be cool if the Emperor's theme started playing when Malak started talking, and went on until the end.

  • hahahaha they bombed the planet. hahahaha yes :)

  • "Only a Sith deas in absolutes..." - Obi-wan

"Do or dot not, there is no try." - Yoda

Are those the same? O_o oh and I was so pissed when Malak destroyed this city... wasted time, credits... and I thought I was mad... Dantooine being bombed pissed me off!

  • sad they bomed taris cool planet

  • Hey, Saul wasn't wearing a different Imperial outfit?

  • Darth Malak is badass. Not-so-badass-as-Vader but still, badass.

  • Malak is cool, but he is no Darth Vader.

  • Darth Malak is bad ass.

  • Malak is but a beast, nothing more.

  • I love it when he says we cannot risk her escaping. Destroy the entire planet.

  • Malak for president!

  • its too bad you cant view these videos after you gone past them in the game

  • was it really wiped away from the galaxy just wandering if you could could visit it in the new upcoming mmorpg wish they made kotor 3 but whats done is done and cant be undone :(

  • They just destroyed the cities...not the planet.

  • the cities is the planet....

  • But do you think the actual planet (with the ground or whatever lol) is still there? I liked Taris, oh well :|

  • I doubt the entire planet is destroyed. Like Dantooine and Telos, I just think the sith fleet bombed the planets surface to ruin.

  • Taris is included in Empire At War. I like to think that the Outcasts in the Undercity find their colony and they survive the bombardment.

  • @Trayusstudent1

I'd imagine they did. The Upper city protected them from Bombardment

  • @Trayusstudent1 The People from the promised land later go on to take over the galaxy 4000 ABY

  • @Trayusstudent1 It is revealed what happened to them in SW: The Old Republic

  • @Trayusstudent1 You actually get to visit Taris in SWTOR, which takes place 300 years after KOTOR. They survive the bombardment, but the descendants of the Outcasts didn't have it so easy :(

  • The planet, itself, is still there; the city is gone. Also, even though Taris was considered a city-planet, the city didn't cover the entire surface. Water held more space than the urban sprawl. No point in bombing that.

  • I had this game but lost it it's sad

  • great game! great voice acting! great story! great great great

  • Try and imagine what it would be like trying to tell Darth Malak no, but we all know what would happen if we did tell him that don't we?

  • crap.... malaks tall.

  • Malak is an idiot!!!!! he just blew eveything up like a phycotic idiot!!!!! In kotor2 GO-TO said he would rather have Revan ruling the galaxy because he saved all the resources and soilders and did not kill everyone because he felt like it!!!!!

  • I know! Why wouldn't Malak at least (since he was all bad) use taris to get more money or recources from it.

-Well,He was searching for Bastila, so instead of bringing hundreds of sips in to destroy the planet, why wouldn't he just use the men from those ships to make them search for bastila. Or even add more Dark Jedi , to help find Bastila(Sine Dark Jedi are force useres)

OR EVEN WHY WOULDN'T HE USE THE FORCE TO TRY TO FIND BASTILA, HE WAS THE DARK LORD OF THE SITH, WASN'T HE?

  • What Darth Malak does not realise that his master is on Taris also.

  • former master

  • Malak and Caedus have a very similar style of dealing with enemies and making examples of traitors and incompitents. PLANETERY BOMBARDMENT. What Malak does to Taris is what Caedus did to Kashyyyk and threatened to repeat at Fondor.

  • and what caedus's grandfather also did at kashykk(dark lord rise of darth vader)

  • Well, Anakin basically slaughters anything he can get his saber on.

  • When he said Palpatine destroyed a planet with the force he meant the "Force Storm" ability. I think....

There are tons of Force Abilitys that can completely destroy planets.........Force Storm and the Thought Bomb are just some of them.

  • Malak is Sex!

  • well, malak is weak! sidious destroyed a planet with the pure force alone, malak,ha! he needs ships..

  • well thanks for the 2nd opinion

  • It's called technology. Use your head; Malak didn't have the Death Star available you know. [shakes head]

  • u gotta be kidding me! death star is pure force???? omg u are a star wars noooooob!!!!!

how about u "study" a little bit more and then u can come and talk about it...

oh and by the way Malak is the best sith ever!!!

  • How dare you! Revan's by far more powerful.

  • 0@Desolation63 Sidious... He needed a machine to destroy a planet too, look at Nihilus, he destroyed a planet with-out any tech. He used the force.

  • @KotorFan97

    READ THE DARK EMPIRE SERIES

HES NOT TALKING ABOUT DEATH STAR

you got what hes talking about darth sidous destroy planet

  • @Desolation63 no he didnt r u stupid he used the death star which he got power cells from when the clone troopers where in mygeeto

  • i was wonderin who is a more brutal sith Malak or Sidious. I mean Who would you prefer as the Sith ruler. With Sidious everything was politics and living in the shadows and what not and Malak just went in and did what he had to do.

  • Malak is a fool, this thought-less aggression would've only led to his downfall, as well as costing him far too many valuable resources. You heard the guy he was talking to. By doing this, he cost himself millions of his own soldiers, as well as an entire planet's worth of technology, people, money, raw materials, and strategic placement in the galaxy. Revan chose not to destroy planets critical to the Republic, knowing he would need them later to rebuild his empire. Malak just blew shit up.

  • you are almost directly quoting kreia.....but yes i agree with you

  • Actually it was from G0-T0, but thanks.

  • multiple people actually including mical as well

  • he had the star forge my master.. he realy didnt give a shit about his troops..

  • he did it because he was a bad motherfucker

  • To kinglythreads: I would say Malak. Brutality brings physical pwnage to mind. He was more hands on, while Sidious used deception and manipulation of people more. Think about the Sith Code and Rules for each Sith Lord. Sidious studied under Darth Bane's Rule of Two, while Malak studied under the Rule of the Strong. So it would make sense that Malak was the more brutal, since Sidious was trained to operate in the shadows as the Rule of Two dictates.

  • Too bad you can't redeem Saul..he seems like he was a good man, once.

  • If redemption happened too much, it would get old real fast. Falling wouldn't be such a big deal either.

  • malak is a basterd

  • Lol

  • Oh boy, I remember this scene from my XBox version of KOTOR I and it looked evil indeed. Thanks for putting up this scene Shem. :)

  • is sauls uniform a mod it lookes like one

  • It is. It was made by Prime.

  • THIS is why I think Malak is one of the best Star Wars villians....He's a cold blooded, heartless, jawless(XD) badass.

  • indeed :)

  • That seems to be the way of the Sith:

    "Do anything it takes"

Even if it involves destroying an entire planet, killing countless innocents.

  • Well, Pinhead. The Sith aren't exactly good people you know. ;)

  • thats the way of the more careless sith. revan purposely avoided that for a more effective control and need for unknown threats.

  • That was why Revan was always the master- there was a lot of talk in KoToR 2 about how Revan was the true threat to the republic with Malak nothing more than a senseless brute.

  • @pinheadman665 not revan, revan was smart and kept the republics infrastructure intact after he occupied a area.

  • @pinheadman665 btw, remember the arrival dlc for mass effect 2... just saying
