I am here, One year later, still in AWE of this speech, ALL mightty GOD, Our Son, Pride of our Nation, Our Religion, Our Civivlilazation......A suffering humanity...If Obama, or any President would say this to the nation., I would fall to my knees..., would work 70 hours a week to represent to my freedom flag......
I truly wish Obama, or ANY of our presidents with share a prayer with us like this on live TV.., I would break down, and fall upon my knees and cry.....It would bring us together in so many ways...God Bless You All...
This generation came without electricity , paved roads, plumbling, cars, airplanes, or quality of medicine of any sort. Many of them were farmers, All of them devote Americans. It was faith in their Lord God and the steadfast of Freedom, that we Today enjoy the triumpants of their glory. We owe this generation our hearts and our sincere thanks, Thank you mom and dad, we will always love you.!!!
there have been many great generations but this one is perhaps the greatest of all - the world as it is and every freedom you enjoy today is due to these men and women - they were and are without equal in the history of humanity
What a wonderful tribute to the Greatest Generation. I've never heard this prayer from Franklin Delano Roosevelt, one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever known. It is as timely and valuable now as it was then. G-d bless America.
..This is all America had to work with! We Americans have ALWAYS done the best with what we've been dealt ! WE WILL SURVIVE !!! GOD BLESS AMERICA ! LAND OF THE FREE.... HOME OF THE BRAVE !!! U..S..A..!
The monumental blindness and stupidity, unmatched barbarism and sadism of America and Britain nearly brought a new Dark Age upon a world dominated, not by them, but by the Soviet Union and communism, Although the Nazis and fascists lost the war--their heroic struggle with hardly any resources against overwhelming odds allowed civilization to survive. After 1945, it was the atomic bomb, beyond everything else, which allowed the west to survive---but before that, it was ADOLF HITLER who saved us.
Those that lived and died during this period were truly the Greatest Generation! No other people of any other time in history could have accomplished what they did. Thank you Dad and Mom who both proudly served with with such purpose, such faith, and such resolve.
Amen to that..they're too busy promoting selfish agendas like gay marriage to really care about REAL American families which should consist of one man and one woman.
After the war he continued to serve his country by working for the Civil Service holding various postions - photographer; office manager; quality manager for the Navy's Mark II torpedo program; management analyst at the Great Lakes Naval Ordinance Station.
Again, BroadmooreBaptist, I thank you for this tribute to THE GREATEST GENERATION! We will always remember and never forget those who answer the call.
The Battle of Huertgen Forest. A corridor of barely 50 square miles east of the Belgian-German border. It became the longest single battle the U.S. Army has ever fought in history. In the cold winter of that battle, my Uncle Roy, suffered frostbite to his feet. He was being wheeled into an operating room for amputation of both feet when a French doctor re-examined him and decided he could save them. My Uncle seldom spoke about his experiences in the war.
My Uncle was 17 when he enlisted in the Army in 1943 at 17 yrs of age. Was sent to Normandy 12 days after D-Day - the U.S. invasion of German occupied France in 1944. His unit battled thru France, Belgium and into the Huertgen Forest - the name given to the series of fierce battles fought between 9/19/1944 and 2/10/1945.
Thank the German soldier for protecting European culture from Bolshevism.
They were the real heroes of that war!
This speech is ridiculous jingoistic hyperbole
Germany's allies - Italy, Romania, Hungary, Finland, Estonia, Latvia , Lithuania, Spain, Portugal. Sounds like Europe to me!! Learn the truth about that war.
My comment was from the heart to the generation of Americans that also fought! I was not giving a history lesson in entirety! I do not think this video was trying to do that either! Find a real target to snipe! Not me. I am sure you can find many here for that.
My Uncle who fought in WWII was burried today. He was dying in a VA hospital when I wrote my comment. Sorry if YOU found that offensive!
Glad you replied the way you did! I hope our dumb, lazy, entitlement driven culture will never forget what our soldiers and country went through not many years ago!!! Never forget...

My dad was laid to rest at Arlington in November. Pacific US Navy 5 Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, and 4 other medals.
I just know that the war in Europe was unnecessary.
My condolences
