  • ouch lmao

  • it seems to be a very short runway

  • @SkaterFlipp

    6000 ft., Rwy. 27L, Berlin-Tempelhof (EDDI, THF),

  • great vid man

  • A good landing is one you can walk away from,

A great landing is when you can use the plane again.

Knowing that this was a good landing :P

  • Interesting landing. I don't know why everyone is saying bad things about his touchdown. I'm more interested in the night approach! Very good!

  • where is this ???????

  • put new wheels after that!!!

  • It is not extremely smooth. It seems that they flared and stopped at around 10 ft above ground, and then after few seconds dropped more violently again due to velocity loss. In my opinion it is around medium touchdown - probbably 200 ft/min or so.

  • @DelfinoDelphis I doubt that was 200 ft/min, that's too smooth. 3 ft per second. This was more like 300 ft/min.

  • Great landing!!! Cool video man!!!

  • The noise was the fkn service cart the hostie forgot to stow away

  • Ker Plunk, nice thud homer

  • That's the best description I've heard about that noise, lol. But, I think the landing gear is saying "Oww, Fuck!"

  • cash register opened upon landing lols! XD

  • Actually that was a pretty smooth landing. Listen to the radar altitude callouts. They sya how high he is in feet, listen how fast they go "40, 30, 20...10.." then it takes a few seconds to descend the last 10 feet. I see why you would think it was hard though. Sounded rough plus camera jostled a good bit.

  • what? that is an EXTREMELY smooth landing! Listen to the ALT readouts

  • Im not a pilot, but aren't you supposed to flare? it sounded kinda rough

  • Excellent Landing!

  • prepare for landing

  • What do you fly?

  • u could do it better then ya

  • fuck u man ur not even a real pilot

btw it was a good landing

  • Read my other comment please. If you are completely ignorant about a subject then you really shouldn't accuse others of doing things wrong.

  • wow..cool

  • That was awesome, where was it by the way?

  • Nice

  • ya nice landing. Right on the glide slope. I dont think he flared it enough though thats why it was a little bit rough.

  • Nice landing.

  • that's definitely not the sound of a plane landing, that was something else.

  • I wanted to be a airline pilot...... because they can see great view of the famous airport.....

  • Beautiful......

  • I'll always be a frustrated wannabe pilot.

  • Wow!! Tak sabar2 rasa nyer...

  • ha, Man you held it off and last second, bam!

  • bumbs a daisy. its enought to make you weep.

  • is it a good landing, with that "slam" noise?

  • if you want to show your kids an example of 'ballooning', then there you have it.. =='

  • sounded like a firework at the end

  • dang might as awell slam into the ground

  • Lol ahh my stomach!

Shit that was a hard landing.

Where did the pilot get the license? lOl i think he buy it for 3-4000 $

  • Nah, he get it from cereal box... It was a surprise. xD

  • holy shit...... stick that freaking cam up on your head and land first safely....hope itz not my pilot

  • this scared me a little..the view was beautiful though..

  • SHIT. THAT WAS A HARD LANDING!

  • あちゃーー最後の瞬間ドッカーンといってしまいましたね。しかし50ft以下の高度からの衝撃でしたので仕方ないですよね、、しかし最後の瞬間まで気を使っていたのにこれはちょっと残念な気がしますよね。

  • Easy for you to say!

  • hard landing :)

  • hard landing :)

  • Awsomeness!

  • is that leagal?

  • jet in my country language is the sheep's and cow's and horse's food

  • what the hell is 'minimums'

  • The hight at which if the runway is not in sight, you must go around.

  • I'm getting the impression that my comment was not taken quite the way I meant it. It was a question and not criticsm. I am an airliner freak, (but certainly no authority on them) and naturally, I watch many videos of them, but I'd never heard such a loud bang on touch down before. Even when the people who shoot a video say it was a rough landing I don't hear that sound, so it is more curiosity as to what the bang was. My apologies to those who were offended, it was not my intention to offend.

  • Anyway nice landing doesnt necessarily just mean a perfectly smooth touchdown. That landing was perfectly centered and the glide slope was also very good.

  • nice landing indeed, perfect flare and no TR, saving that extra cup of Jet A

  • It's called a touchdown, what you were expecting a cushion of air to glide the plane down..ignorant mis-informed viewers!!You just love to nag don't you?? Do you by chance live alone with only a bunch of cats running around the house???

  • How can anyone say "nice landing," am I the only one who heard that loud *bang* on touchdown? Can you explain the noise to me, Jetpilot, or didn't you shoot this video?

  • Have you ever flown? Can you imagine anywhere from 20,000 to 60,000 lbs of metal, fuel avionics, 150 passengers of which 56 are overweight, touching down so gracefully on concrete? If you notice, the red and white lights to left show he is on perfect glideslope, the 100, 50, 40... are in perfect time, that was a textbook approach and landing!

  • that sound at 1:12 sounds like something metallic rather than a hard landing. Perhaps the camera holder accidently pushed something over, or something fell from an edge as the touchdown occured. I have a similar video of a touchdown where the First Officer had left something on the pedistal which fell off at touchdown and made him start scrambling around between the seat and pedistal even as the decell took place. Similar sound of something falling on the floor rather than touchdown.

  • Nice Landing!

  • Awesome video. Five of five stars.

  • Nice Landing!

  • nice aproach

  • Nice landing but didnt look like landing lights where on

  • It's a 737 I can tell you that for sure. BTW to reply to someone else. There is no reverse thrust because it's night. At night you may not use reverse thrust

  • Depends on where you are at.

  • nop when i got to NY it use the reverse thrusters all the way

  • Show me the FAA regulation that says thrust reversers cannot be used at night, Bahfu.

  • sounds like no reverser on,and no speedbrake extending ?

  • 767

  • what airport?

  • what plane is it? A Boeing ........

  • of cours it is coz if it is an airbus it would continue to 5 feet the computer saise it

  • @crazypilot123

    BAe 146

  • A little bad landing. He kissed the runway very hard!

  • I viewed it a second time, and it does look normal to

    me.

  • Excellent view of a night landing. Bumpy touchdown !

Ouch, lol. Difficult to manuever when lighting

    conditions are minimal. :)

  • its neither a bumpy touchdown nor is it difficult to manuever.

  • Great video!!

  • What airport?

  • Where was the landing? o.0

  • @harsh15

Tempelhof (THF, EDDI) in the City of Berlin, Germany

    Airport was closed 30. Oktober 2008 :(

  • this is amazing

  • Sorry for my bad typing skills last night, just had switch to a new youtube account and it was late and I was tried and sick. Tha can not be an excause in the cockpit some day.

  • glenn lopez, this is not A320, you can tell by many ways like the FMC and radio controls on the left and right side of the Autopilot control also in the call outs. Airbus is more Euro sounding and doesn't say 1o, insted it says RETARD over and over till eithe feet is reached or one of the pilots put throttles to idel. There are a few other ways to tell but some people get the 737NG and Airbus A318-A340 panels confussed a first glance but it rally is and easy tell apart.

  • Exactly right. This video is of a Boeing cockpit, not an Airbus.

  • thats an A320 morons...

  • Little bit of overfloat there

  • That video could be taken by a crew member, not the pilot...

  • What!?! The pilot should be focusing on LANDING not holding a video camera!

  • The pilot and copilot WERE focusing on the landing! This was OBVIOUSLY shot from the cockpit jump seat! Sheesh.

  • That's someone filming from the jumpseat, a seat in the middle of the two pilots, but the First Officer/Co Pilot will make the landings also. I don't think the pilot was filming that.

  • This video is taken from the jumpseat! I don't think the pilot would hold a video camera

  • I would like to see the pilot try,,

  • This is a AVRO85 or 100 landing on Berlin/Tempelhof

  • nice frame rate lol!

  • a 737NG?

  • muy bueno

  • Outside the touchdown zone....

  • Not too much though. He still had plenty of room to stop. He was probably just a junior officer.

  • what aircraft is that?

  • so happy it's somebody else doing that and not me. If it was, that computer would be saying "50, 40, 30, 20,10, oh shit, you just crashed . . . and killed everyone"

  • Nah, It'd turn into an Airbus and call you Retard a few times.

  • I'm never getting in an airplane again.

  • Where is this??

  • excelente!

  • coooool!
