@400exism theyre proline masher 2000s, i think i got them off tower hobbies, you can get them almost anywhere that has rc stuff though.

sweet  i have the same thing 7 cell.but mine went like 45 or 50 (i had the 3800kv motor) get the 9000kv it will get you going like 60 on a 7 cell.

Does the Sidewinder make the truck go faster than the VXL 3s? I just fried my esc for the second time and am tired of this crap VXL 3s. but like the motor. Are you satisfied with Castles ESCs? have you ever fried one of them?

@LardassTheGayHippo the sidewinder doesnt make it go any faster, but its a pretty good esc. ive been generally very happy with castle escs, although i have fried a couple of them, theyve always came through with their awesome warranty.

@larsen8or117 yea theyre masher 2000s, m2 compound. theyre great tires. make the truck traction roll easy but they grip awesome (especially if u mount the rears backwards) and dont wear out too fast

u wont notice a difference. the only time u will is with the vxl motor on 3s, it runs hot but u could probably manage the temps with a fan or something.

so the sidewinder does have some punch, cuz i wanna upgrade mine. for sure gettin vxl motor but no sure on esc. what would you say, is it pretty fast and/or powerful.

what esc do u have now? if its a vxl or a sidewinder u can send them back to the manufacturers to get them fixed for cheap

it was bad so it overheated and fried, once i took it off the pack the car was much faster and with a ton more punch than this

no not really, it would be really hard to tell tho cuz the cell died as soon as i got the sidewinder esc so its comparing a 7 cell on the vxl to a 6 cell on the sidewinder

a 5000 mah 7 cell 8.4v but sadly it is a venom and it takes about 2 hours to charged in my old quick charger.

depends, make batteries last longer from what? the esc does nothing to make batts last longer from the vxl esc, but from some brushed setups the sidewinder system will last longer

im still running the vxl motor so im not sure but ive heard that the vxl motors have more torque than the sidewinder motors. the sidewinder escs come with no connector so u can solder any connector on there u want including a traxxas one. yes the vxl escs can take a more powerful battery but they have some problems with the embedded bullet motor wire connectors coming out of the escs and my old old one fried on me randomly.

im not sure of the motor limit, i think any brushed and idk about brushless and the battery limit depends on the motor its 8 cell nimh 2s lipo for the 5700 and 12 cell nimh 3s lipo for the 4600 since i have the vxl motor im not exactally sure of the cell limit but im staying under the 4600s limits to be safe.

yea cool crashes lol, that was a small jump i was just practicing landing for bigger jumps. yea it will lol it will look sweet. no real damage to the lid this run but the rear mount hole was already destroyed and repaired lol.
