OMG, I just bought one today (without the hidden blade, unfortunately, but with the back strap) as a Christmas gift for a very dear friend of mine, cost me about 45 dollars. How much did you pay for it?

i have a military issue daywalker sword so it comes sharpened and perfectly balanced and a folded blade instead of sharpened metal paid 1.5k worth it tho almost didnt come through customs mine has the trap in the handle not the little dagger thing

@punkjake mine only made it through customs because its military issue and i have a military weapons license so i managed to get it through i also have a full tang 32inch katana i tested the edge on a pig carcus cut straight through i have a yamato from the game devil may cry thats really nice i have alot of butterfly knives i am a bit of a knive and sword inthusiast so i got alot i am also ordering a real kuhkri blade soon got a nice collection

It's getting hard for me to aquire knives/swords etc as the laws in Australia suck so I can't get them off eBay anymore. My dad has a military issued kukri blade from when he was in the army, and also he has a ceremonial-looking (Display) one that his mate got him on a stand, still both are sharp though.

the draw of the weapon is easy to fix... fix the straps so it sits lower on your back. thus when you draw it, it's not so difficult.

@slanderskikio It's not really that strong. If you wanted to, you could probably take it apart and reinforce it, but it's mainly just for show

the reason that the sword wide under your neck is for pulling out the sword.

move the handle up and forword to pull it out corectlly.

but try to pull the sword on your sholder and not on your head..XD

You said you removed some of the rings ......does that mean you can remove the ones ABOVE the backmount....that way you could make the sheath sit further down and pull the sword out way easier......sry for my bad english...I'm german (ordering the sword soon)

@moblsche You can do that, yes, though it would make the harness on the front of your chest sit very wierdly and possibly hurt as the buckles may dig in

@FutJJ I've often thought of making a wooden sword but never gotten around to actually doing it. My choices were: Cloud's Buster Sword, a generic Samurai Sword, or basic fantasy swords. I just googled pictures of fantast daggers and such for ideas :)

@GFuture Nah it ain't sharp, just steel coated with chrome, but it can be sharpened. I got it fromn my local weapons stall at the local markets, he has a site but I can't remember it

I also have the blade sword with the hidden dagger but the problem with mine is whenever i practice kendo with it the hidden dagger pops out does it happen to you?

If not any advice to keep it locked in?

@extremedude0192 Yeah dude mine keeps faling out too. It turns when I put it in, but even picking the sword up shakes it loose. I used to turn it around, so the curved side of the handle on the hidden blade locked in with the flat side of the main handle, but that only worked for a bit. I was thinking of using an adhesive like silicone on one side, then letting it dry and seeing if it would create more grip, but as of now I just keep them in seperate peices on my shelf

@punkjake Thats a good idea my friend actually told me to put some flat stick magnets on the handle of the dagger then put some in the handle of the blade so when it locks the magnets attract each other and keep it locked in what do u think?

@zenzybar It's not 100% full tang because of what you said, the dagger takes up mose of the handle, but it's packed away as i'm moving house atm but if I ever get around to measuring it up i'll let you know
